The hotel is quiet and peaceful, modern rooms, a marina by the river gives you the opportunity to relax and swim on warm days. it is an ideal place to visit the canton of Neuchâtel and the surrounding towns. A perfect room for a family with small kids. The panoramic view is amazing. There is a hiking path to the lake of Murten just underneath the hotel. 20 minutes drive to Papiliorama, if you want to be there early. The best is to be at Papiliorama as soon as it opens in the morning. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

I have just had the most amazing stay and I cannot recommend this hotel enough! The location is picturesque, the rooms are spacious, the bed superb, and the bathrooms luxurious. But what really sets this hotel apart are the staff - they go above and beyond to make your stay a delight! One night they called all over town to get me into a busy restaurant because I had (shortsightedly) not made a reservation anywhere. Another day, I was unsuccessful in my hunt for French onion soup, and they asked the chef to prepare it, especially for me! I’d particularly like to thank Sarah, Nelson, Sébastien, and Imrân for making my weekend so relaxing. I have already booked my next stay and cannot wait to return!

The hotel is just in front of the Thermal Spa (with its own another hotel). I have stayed multiple times in the Thermal Spa hotel before, but the first time the bike Hotel. I can say that I personally liked it much more as a hotel because 1) the rooms are spacious and incredibly amazing. I was in the Double Large room. 2) there is a tennis court and a mini golf on premises. 3) nice restaurant which is not overbooked The night in this hotel was more expensive than in the Thermal Spa, but I will for sure stay in Bike Hotel next time again.

It is a good place to stay, from which to do side trips by...

It is a good place to stay, from which to do side trips by train or bus. It would be a bit cheaper than staying in a bigger city. It is not flooded with tourists, compared with Interlaken , for example. It is a pleasant town to walk around, not too large, with a view of the Alps, on a clear day.

Fantastic style and spacious rooms with an extremely comfortable bed. Due to the proximity to the highway, quick and easy to find. Strongly recommended, especially for people on a longer trip seeking a great stopover. The restaurant is closed on the weekend I was told when I arrived, but there are alternatives nearby.

It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.

Nice medival city - with the Jazz festival it was really great Castle to visit Nice restaurants in the old town On the beach: - good restaurant - Water Skilift even good for beginners - Childrens playground - the beach is with shallow water (small children) - you can rent Winsurfboards etc.

Neuchatel offers a tourist pass with free entry to many attractions in the canton and free public transport. Note that many places are closed on Sundays and/or Mondays. We made the most of the sunshine by taking a train to Buttes and walking in the mountains above the chairlift (included in the tourist pass), with fabulous views over the lake, the Jura and the distant Alps. We also enjoyed a morning boat trip and a peaceful walk through protected marshland at St Blaise. We loved the food in Himalaya Momo.

Lovely town on the side of the lake with good shops, restaurants and some historical sights. Beware it is very hilly away from lakeside but public transport is very good. Good location from which to explore the area by road or rail (but rail is expensive). Cities such as Bern and Lausanne are just under an hour away.
