Outstanding property. Stylish and comfortable, with great staff, great bar and great kitchen. I had a beautiful double room with cosy terrace and excellent bed for a great sleep. I can’t really focus on what I love the most about the hotel. It has cozy rooms, it has stunning views, it has great pool areas that must look outworldly in winter. It is an old building but renovated with greatest respect to its original character and at the same time furnished in a way that feels like it was build a year ago. Great taste in design, the nicest staff you could ever think of. The hotel, like Arosa itself is a place where you can recharge your batteries for any challenges ahead! We had a great experience there and are planning our next trip already! Highly recommend taking the half-board option / the dinner is cheaper than what you would usually expect, while the chef does a great job in preparing the compositions and you can (paid extra) choose from some really interesting wine options to go along with it.

Located right next to the lake and a short walk to the train station. We got a room with lake views which was well worth it. Good breakfast. It would have been nice to have control over the room temperature as it was too high. It would also be good to have more signs of where the hotel entrance is as it can be a bit confusing.

Very pleasant town, excellent bus and train services.

Very pleasant town, excellent bus and train services. Very novel that one of the train lines actually runs through the town, next to the cars! Has both narrow and standard gauge railways too. Bus services were frequent and reliable. There are some great restaurants, good bakeries and some nice shops. We used it as a base to travel to other places, and the good train links made that very easy. It's only an hour or so outside of Zurich but a little cheaper for accommodation so that is also a bonus.

There's so much to do in the area. we went summer skiing at the glacier (Stelvio), which was ok (lots of long lines for the button lifts because of the hundreds of ski club teams). But the nearby QC Terme Bagni Vecchi was amazing. Would like to have stayed longer for hiking and mountain biking. Very nice little town and beautfil surroundings.

Beautiful countryside and perfect for walking or cycling in the hillsides around the village, plus some really nice restaurants open late into the evening filled with people who all appeared to be having a good time. Also great to be able to do some duty free shopping.

I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.

Pontresina is a pretty little town and so much nicer, more picturesque and less expensive than say, St Moritz, unless you are after the glamour and „status“ that comes with mixing with the jet-setters there. The main reason we have always stayed here though is the central location with easy access to and from anywhere in the Engadine and its attractive side valleys. Come here for nature and outdoor activities, not for shopping or night life 🙂

Chiavenna is a beautiful city that's just the right size to walk around and enjoy. The area offers a lot of activities. There are a lot of places to go hiking, or just to walk around town. There's a beautiful waterfall just up the valley. There are also some great restaurants in town.

I am totally biased for Arosa is filled with wonderful childhood memories. Now, being slightly handicapped, I still enjoyed it. The air, the calm on the hills, the views, the hikes, the food…. There is something for everyone and every age (says a great-grandma!😂). Take a horse cariage ride! Visit the museum! Visit the bears sanctuary! Walk up the squirrels way and let them and the birds get nuts out of your hands…
