We were upgraded to a lovely room on the top floor with a balcony. We'd booked half board, and the dinners were excellent, as was the selection at breakfast. Two staff in particular deserve a special mention for their friendliness and good service, Lucas on the front desk, and Sofia in the dining room.

Booked this on a whim while traveling with a group and it was a treasure. Located right in the middle of Bormio, the location was perfect, right off of the main road but enough to where there was little noise. The exterior was decorated with flowers and looked wonderful. Inside was even better. The lounge downstairs had wood paneling and deep couches and was cozy and welcoming. The front desk staff were on top of everything and so helpful with everything we needed. They had a massive bicycle storage room in the basement that was clean and secure and had everything we needed to store our cases and bikes. The restaurant for breakfast was fantastic. The staff was courteous and professional and the food was fresh and fantastic. The rooms were clean and tidy and the bathrooms were large and the showers had great pressure. Had a wonderful time here and hope to return!

Room was excellent with plenty of room and space and a large on-suite bathroom. the location was brilliant and close to the Stelvio pass which was the reason for our visit. Breakfast was all you could need to set you up for the day with plenty of choice. The hotel gave us plenty of space in their garage for motorbike parking. on arrival the staff were very helpful and allowed us to book in 3 hours earlier than arranged. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The Chalet was Perfect. Basically 3 bedroom and 3 full bathrooms. The Suna and Jacuzzi was such a treat. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need. Great selection of teas and Illy coffee. The outside seating area is lovely. The entire place is such a treat. It is peaceful and quite. Breakfast was fantastic. The older man (name unknown) was the highlight of the most polite and kind person. Nothing was too much for him and always assisted as best he could. Answered all questions we had and knew what we had each day and it was always ready. It is a 15 min slow and lively walk to the town center. Bikes are available for free or e-bikes cost €35. The parking garage is located right next to your unit. We will be back for a longer stay as this was such a teaser to enjoying a fun and short stay.

In the middle of nowhere, there is the paradise on earth. An hotel in the center of a beautiful village surrounded by magnificent mountains. Haven of peace where everything is settled. Very warm welcome. You immediately feel at home here. The staff is very kind. The rooms are beautiful. Mountain style decoration with a little modernism, it's very cozy. The garden with the chairs around the SPA and the swimming pool is beautifully maintained. The restaurant's menus are incredible and you can have one of the dishes as “ à la carte” very appreciating . The food is excellent. This small hotel was a stopover on our trip. A coincidence which makes things good because we will come back 💯. We love this place. So quiet. Very nice hikes with free tickets from the hotel.

I liked the fact that everything was designed with children in mind. The children were delighted. I liked the food, although the selection was limited, but there was always something suitable for both adults and children. I also appreciated that the hotel was located within an hour's walk from beautiful scenery, making it accessible to children. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The outside area was very interesting for kids and their parents, with all animals, really cool playground, racing bicycles etc.

Great breakfast, bar, and spa, with convenient access to the garage and a grocery store located within the building. While there's no pool, the spa, with its three saunas, especially the Finnish one, was a standout, offering a stunning view of the valley. The hotel is located at the bottom of the ski slope, in summer a great starting point for numerous hiking routes.

The hotel is lovely, cozy, our room had a balcony with a stunning view. The staff is very friendly and the owner too! We really recommend this hotel. Davos is a beautiful alpine city with a great atmosphere. We loved the character of the buildings, the excellent skiing, and the stunning mountain views. It’s a perfect destination for both outdoor activities and simply enjoying the scenery.

Beautiful countryside and perfect for walking or cycling in the hillsides around the village, plus some really nice restaurants open late into the evening filled with people who all appeared to be having a good time. Also great to be able to do some duty free shopping.

Beautiful... it fits the ad that says "top of the world". Cool, clean, not too busy ... and most importantly very friendly people (at least those we met...). One of them got out of his way how we could find our apartment.

Be careful with parking.

Be careful with parking. Reading signs does not guarantee that you are safe. If you need to contact local police, then it's nearly impossible to reach them over the phone. You have to pay "tourist tax" - extra fee for being foreigner and not speaking Italian.

Ischgl is a great resort offering fantastic extensive and varied skiing. Pistes well groomed. The lifts are fast, modern and well maintained. Queues Ok even at half term. Ischgl town is pretty and has large selection of Apres ski bars and restaurants and shops which are very friendly. There is a rule that you cannot wear ski boots between 8pm and 6am which seems to successfully stop hordes of drunken revellers wandering about so the Apres is civilised yet still great fun. There are noticeably more young men than other groups and quite a lot of snowboarders compared to some other resorts like Lech but this was not really a problem for our family. We will be returning.

Very old, charming mountain city...easy to access and to move about. Shops looked wonderful as well as access to hiking or exploring countryside but we unfortunately didn't book enough time. Thinking of returning. A hidden gem! Only had time for one restaurant, which was a Thai one and it was fantastic! Right around corner from hotel....there are, of course, many other options.

I am totally biased for Arosa is filled with wonderful childhood memories. Now, being slightly handicapped, I still enjoyed it. The air, the calm on the hills, the views, the hikes, the food…. There is something for everyone and every age (says a great-grandma!😂). Take a horse cariage ride! Visit the museum! Visit the bears sanctuary! Walk up the squirrels way and let them and the birds get nuts out of your hands…

Love the facilities for mountain biking and they are only going to get better. Everything is to hand, loads of car parking, supermarket, excellent bike hire facilities, bar near by. Seems great for families (I travelled alone but folk seemed to be having a great time). Safe and secure area.

Pontresina is a pretty little town and so much nicer, more...

Pontresina is a pretty little town and so much nicer, more picturesque and less expensive than say, St Moritz, unless you are after the glamour and „status“ that comes with mixing with the jet-setters there. The main reason we have always stayed here though is the central location with easy access to and from anywhere in the Engadine and its attractive side valleys. Come here for nature and outdoor activities, not for shopping or night life 🙂

I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.
