I love how the rooms have a fully stocked kitchen with everything you might need. Great pool timings. Love the later checkout time. Breakfast was excellent. The lady working the front desk all night was the nicest and best host.

incredibly well looked after gardens,beautiful complimentary lakeside activities (kayaks and paddle board). The rooms were very clean and comfortable and had everything practical and what we needed. We loved waking up everyday here, to a beautiful lakeside view and having a lovely breakfast at the family-run restaurant on the property. We will be recommending this stay to everyone we know!

A very pleasant town with everthing you need, grocery stores restaurants the people are friendly and pleasant , we went to chucks roadhouse and the service was over the top, excellent food portions very large and the price is right highly recommended

Loved the location, so many spots to explore!

Loved the location, so many spots to explore! Had a great dinner at The Lock’s and enjoyed a meal at Michael’s Table. Beautiful park areas , getting around was very easy. For a busy downtown, parking was not too bad .

Smith falls was great.... middle town to launch trips to Perth/ Almonte/ Merrickville and Brockville. Many great restaurants and a haven of great chip stands...staples as well (Tim horton / Harvey/ Swiss Chalet ) local Walmart and Giant tiger. Pretty town with old history and the river locks are very interesting - workers there are happy to give you the workings of the locks. Enjoy

The Mississippi Riverwalk Trail was incredible a perfect length to walk every morning and there were so many birds singing. And biking was great as the trails start in the centre of town where there is plenty of parking.

I go to Dwight to "recharge my batteries".

I go to Dwight to "recharge my batteries". It's quiet - it's close to Algonquin Park but also close to Huntsville if you feel the need to be around people. I enjoy travelling during the shoulder season. There is a small grocery/butcher/drug store within an easy walk. I was amazed at the variety they had in such a small space and very helpful if you have any questions. If you feel the need to stay "connected" there is strong wifi available.

The local brew pub was great - excellent food and fantastic beers, very good service. Bancroft is known as a mineral capital with a small but excellent mineral museum. There is also an interesting historical museum and an active cultural community. Many artists live in the area and offer wonderful paintings and other creations at local stores. There are some lovely cafes offering great baked goods and tasty light lunches. There are nature trails, great camping and fishing, and off trail vehicles to rent as well as canoes, other boats and catamarans. There are a number of parks for children including a skateboard park. The August long weekend [ first weekend of the month] offers Bancroft's Rockhound Gemboree, a world reknowed gem and mineral show with great specimens for sale. There are also some excellent tourist shops offering gifts and items for the whole family at reasonable prices. Don't forget to drive down the side streets to find interesting shops and restaurants. Alice's Pantry offers bulk food products, and specialty, ethic and local options and home cooked meals. We took advantage of the daily evening special to save on restaurant costs.

We enjoyed the trails for walking, very easy to get around town, restaurants were limited, but food was very good in all the ones we ate at. Good place for vacation destination or stop over along the Trans Canada Highway.

Lots of choice of places to eat between Petawawa and...

Lots of choice of places to eat between Petawawa and Pembroke. The area is much prettier in the summer but our one night November stay was pleasant. Only 25 minutes to Bonnechere Provincial Park which was our destination.

Barry's Bay is a beautiful little town.

Barry's Bay is a beautiful little town. We brought our side by side to get out on the ATV trails and explore the fall colour's and they were magnificent. You can drive you ATV within the city limits which made getting to and from restaurants very easy, saving time of unhooking the trailer from my truck. My only regret of this trip was staying at the Pinewood Inn. It is rundown and very dirty since the new ownership my recommendation is to stay somewhere else.
