The hotel is new with large rooms and very comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and shower with very good hot water. The hotel is built with salt blocks, including the beds and tables, a great experience of staying in a salt hotel with a lot of comfort. The breakfast is very good with many options. The staff is very kind and friendly. The hotel is on the main street of Uyuni just a few meters from bars, restaurants, etc. Our family loved it and we would definitely stay at the Casa de Sal hotel again.

It was sooo lovely experience. This hotel is only 10 minutes from the bus terminal by walk and 5 minutes from tour agencies. It was clean. The staff was very kind and responsive. The Wi-Fi was fast enough. If I come back to Uyuni, I'd definitely choose this hotel.

All staff were friendly and very nice, the room was very spacious and always warm. And breakfast buffet was great as well. Eggs were freshly cooked for each customer, and I had some choice of breads, pancakes, cheese, ham and so on… On the day of check out, they started breakfast 1hour earlier for us and called a taxi going to airport. The stay at Hotel Cristales de Sal was perfect!!!

What a place! If you want to wake up after sleeping in a salt-domed bedroom in a super comfy bed to a stunning sunrise, and then go and have a delicious breakfast, this is the place to stay! I was short on time and could only do a one day tour of the Salar, and this was such a great way to extend the experience to include night time views and enjoy the sunrise. The spa is open to 11pm which was so nice after a long day and a chilly sunset over the Salar. There’s a really toasty heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

Wonderful hospitality and beautiful decor. Fantastic staff who were patient with our minimal Spanish. Breakfast was the best selection we’ve had in Bolivia, and organising transfers were simple. Safe and easy location.

Loved this hotel its unique, great location and very big...

Loved this hotel its unique, great location and very big free breakfast buffet. They let us checkin early and also arranged an airport taxi for us. Rooms are really really big and comfy. Only downfall is not every room has ac so we actually switched rooms. Both equally nice. Would recommend to stay here! We had only one night and booked a day trip to the salt flats. One night in the town of Uyuni was enough for us as it’s kind of in shambles.

Colchani is best for upscale lodgings for visiting the Salar. The only recommended places to eat are at the hotels. But make sure you bring all you need from Uyuni before you stay at Colchani. But souvenirs and beautiful wool clothing you can get at the market in Colchani.

Hotels in Colchani are the best location if your target is...

Hotels in Colchani are the best location if your target is to visit the Salar de Uyuni. It is right at its limit. And it has local souvenirs, wool clothing on the local market. But It has no grosery stores nor drug stores so you will depend entirely on the hotel or transportation into Uyuni to stack up. And the bus station is at Uyuni.

Salar is just an amazing place, a wonder the Word!

Salar is just an amazing place, a wonder the Word! Both when dry, as well as when flooded. Uyuni town very ugly, avoid it is possible, full of dirty roads and dirt in the air, if you are sensitive or allergic, do not go downtown and stay in one of the 3 nicests salt hotels in the Salar outside town. Best restaurant in town is Tika, in the hotel Jardin of Uyuni (nice hotel too)
