I got a very pleasant surprise when I reserved a room at this hotel on the bus to Vidin, a bus ride I took on impulse without a definite plan in mind.. A taxi took me from the bus station to the hotel, and I was pleased to see that overcharging foreigners is not common in this town. I got a warm welcome at the reception, and although not much English was spoken, communication was not impossible and I was made to feel welcome. After collecting my key and entering my room, I got my surprise - my room was in fact and apartment, and a very large and spacious one too! In addition to the bedroom, there is a big living room, and well as two small gardens exclusive to the room. I was very comfortable there, and my planned night became 5 nights, and I didn't want to leave. Everyday I was able to extend my stay, and I was always asked if I needed anything for the room. Needless to say, if I ever find myself in the pleasant town of Vidin in the future, I will reserve a room here again.

The best accommodation in Belogradchik for sure and one of my favourite stays in Europe! Where to start..
The room was super clean and comfortable, the AC worked well and it had a balcony with a view of the pool and the rocks/fortress area! The 'rock' pool was also really clean with a small waterfall, so refreshing and peaceful.
The shared kitchen was well-equipped and had lots of space for eating/drinking inside and out.
The location was perfect, so close to nice restaurants, the panoramic viewpoint and not far from the fortress.
The host was very communicative and helpful. They helped me book a taxi to and from the train station and told me about local events happening during my stay (a Bulgarian rock concert at the fortress!)
Thanks for an awesome stay, I highly recommend Guest House Bedrock :)

The house is incredibly spacious, making it ideal for large groups. The location is excellent, just steps away from the city center. My friends and I had a wonderful time here, it’s definitely great value for the price.

Vidin is located in the far northeast part of Bulgaria and...
Vidin is located in the far northeast part of Bulgaria and reaching it is a bit of a challenge due to the poor infrastructure but the town offers interesting places to visit as well as good dining options. The Baba Vida fortress is a must see - the most well preserved medieval fortress in the whole of Bulgaria. The Belogradchik Rocks are a phenomenal natural wonder that is worth the drive from Vidin. For the wine lovers - Bononia Estate is absolutely amazing. Serbia is also near and could be visiting rather easily.

Nice city , very small. In the center parking as usually is a problem.
To see Fortress for one day is enough, NO other things to do
A good restaurant in the center opposite to the hotel, can pay in LEVA and EURO but NO with card
Travel to city on day light , a mountain region with nice landscapes (we travel in the night on rain)

The city is so beautiful, peaceful, full of young people and many renovated archaeological and historical buildings and landmarks. The city is developing very well and I liked it very much. I recommend it to anyone who has decided to explore the cities along the Danube or spend time in a beautiful and peaceful river town.

Belogradchik as a town has nothing to offer, but The Rocks...
Belogradchik as a town has nothing to offer, but The Rocks and the surroundings are amazingly beautiful. The place should be on everyone's short list, a place to visit at least once in a lifetime. So pity that is so poor promoted. The entire region should be extremely wealthy having such a treasure.

Beautiful city, very very friendly locals, delicious Bulgarian cuisine, great walk next to Danube river enjoying beautiful view. “ Teatro” restaurant is in the marine park and have good food.The only downside is if you travel in the summer there are mosquitoes all over town and they sting badly.

The city has been improving in the last decade.
The city has been improving in the last decade. Now it has much more to offer. However, the tourist infrastructure could be improved, e.g. linking the Belogradchick rocks, the wines of the region (the excellent Borovitsa winery), the caves and the nice churches near Oreshets.
