The room we stayed was confortable and the bed also. The food and the draught beer is very good. Dimitri, the young owner, is very polite and helpful. The road to the hotel is a bit difficult, but it's worth it for the rustic landscape and complete peace for a night of rest.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome – warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, creating the perfect environment to relax and recharge. The restaurant also exceeded my expectations – not only was the food delicious, but the service was attentive and genuinely kind. One of the highlights of my stay was the extra thoughtfulness from the staff. I had to leave very early in the morning to participate in a marathon, well before breakfast hours. To my surprise and delight, they offered to prepare a special breakfast for me to take along – such a thoughtful and generous gesture that made a big difference in my day. This kind of care and attention is rare and truly appreciated. I’ll definitely be coming back – highly recommended!

The hotel owners are lovely and warm people who made you feel like you are at home. The hotel itself was extremely clean and the bed was one of the most comforrtable I have came across in a long time. The pool is suitable for kids and was very well maintained. The food portions in the restaurant were very big and tasty. The hotel is overviewing a big lake, which is just 5 minutes walk from it. The water is clean and there were a lot of ducks swimming in it. I would definitely recommend this place and I am looking forward going there again.

The room was very clean and comfortable, quiet but 5 minutes walk to the centre, near restaurants and parks and the staff were very helpful with arranging a taxi to Perperikon and keen to assist with any queries. A really good stay.

Vibrant city center with coffees, parks, restaurants, shopping malls. Access is easy since taxis are available. Also a lot of touristic spots around like rivers, mountains, bridges etc. Good food especially if you like meat.

Best for eating out is the Emona in the next bay.

Best for eating out is the Emona in the next bay. The fried catfish and the home-made chips are outstanding, as well as the home-made cake. The owner has a new boat and runs lake trips on request. The charge is modest. This is the best way to take in the beauty of the lake and also to see how the exquisite fish is farmed. Orientation is not a problem as there is only one local road connecting Lakeview, the fish restaurant and the local town. Driving back to Plovdiv and Sofia should be simple enough but we managed to take a wrong turn in a village and were off on a wild and bumpy trip through the Rhodopi mountain passes and the Arda river. Don't expect too may road signs directing you so a satnav is essential.

Very nice town conveniently located close to the...

Very nice town conveniently located close to the archeological site Perperikon. Definitely worth visiting. Also, don’t forget to visit the historical museum in town, the stone mushrooms and the state parks west of the city. We had dinner at the restaurant Vodenitsata-the food was delicious. Also, breakfast at hotel Arpesos was excellent and the staff was very helpful.

What an amazing area with so much to see and do.

What an amazing area with so much to see and do. A weekend was not long enough to get to see everything in the fantastic surrounding countryside. A large but surprisingly quiet town that is ideally situated as a base for exploring the area.
