Beautiful house with such attractive gardens. Huge, well-furnished bedroom and bathroom. Very tasteful decor throughout. The gardens and swimming pool provided a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the birdsong. The hosts are so kind and thoughtful, who helped us so much with a difficulty we had regarding train booking. The breakfast was very good and served in a dining room overlooking the front garden and pond. It is a quiet and isolated location so it was useful to be able to have a very tasty evening meal that was offered by the establishment as the nearest restaurant was quite a long cycle ride away. Secure bike storage is offered.

We spent a few days at this hotel and enjoyed its tranquility and beauty, as well as its surroundings. The hotel is away from the noise of the city, perfect for getting some work done and relaxing. We stayed in a warm, very spacious, and spotlessly clean room. The whole facility is carefully maintained. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic little place. Nicely furbished room, nice bathroom. The whole building was very nice. Parking right in front of the building. It is kind of in the middle of nature, so the place is very calm. The owner was very nice and friendly. I really recommend this place!

It was a lovely place. Next time we will try to arrive when it is still light because it was a authentic farm but we could see it properly. It only took us 20 min to drive to Brussel Airport from there.

Waterloo was perfect for our stay in Belgium.

Waterloo was perfect for our stay in Belgium. We wanted to be close to Brussels without being in the city. We spent one morning at The Lion Mound, which was incredible (highly recommend) and then we went into Brussels, which was stunning. (again, highly recommend). The next day we took a drive out to Ypres to see the WWI trenches at Sanctuary Wood. It is an amazing preservation of history, and you can actually walk the trenches and tunnels. Then after that we continued on to the museum and beach at Dunkirk. The driving wasn't bad at all, and we finished the day back in Waterloo for dinner.

Nivelles city is attractive and interesting but the hotel is quite a distance out of the town. It is advisable to eat in the town as currently there is no food available in the vicinity apart from brakfast at the hotel

I liked the atmosphere of a small university town, with much green and large downtown pedestrian areas, including some restaurants, a market (on Tuesdays) and other conveniences. There are many trains to Louvain-la-Neuve from Brussels, it can however be a bit tricky to find your place unless you have access to street mapping, then it's easy.

I stayed in this hotel as the two hotels in Louvain la Neuve where sold out. It is located ten minutes by bus/car frim the city center if Louvain la Neuve (bus quai 5 to Gembloux stops in front of the hotel). Corbais is a small village. Nothing special except that it is near Waterloo and Louvain la Neuve.

If you are a Napoleonic war buff-Waterloo is a must see!

If you are a Napoleonic war buff-Waterloo is a must see! It is well done with a museum, a panorama, and the Lion's Mound. There are some other museums (Napolean's HQ, Wellington museum, and the Hougoumont Farm) worth seeing, as well. If you go to the Wellington Museum first, the lady is very friendly and offered the multi-museum ticket as a money saving option. We did this and saved. I'm sure any of the museums might offer the multi-ticket. Restaurants: we went to a place called "Wood Wayne"-they have nachos, hamburgers, and other American type of foods. They were the least expensive outside of Burger King and KFC. If you want Belgium "cuisine" - then, expect to pay $$$ Overall, Waterloo is a great historical site. The battle field is still visible and you can get a sureal feel for what actually took place in June of 1815. To get this fascinating feeling, you must climb up the Lion's Mound. What a view!!!

A long-time underestimated city has become a really nice...

A long-time underestimated city has become a really nice place to visit and stay in. There is a vibrant restaurant and bar scene, excellent shopping, and several visit-worthy museums within 10 minutes walking from the center. Louvain-la-Neuve is also surrounded by green areas, so there are many outdoor activities as well - jogging around the lake, strolling in the forest, golf, or equitation. Everything can be reached by foot, but if needed, you can rent a cambio car to get to the places away from the city. There is also a "minibus on demand ("TEC a la demande") " service that can bring you around LLN and neighboring communes.

Waterloo is a great place to visit.

Waterloo is a great place to visit. The monument and museum is well worth a visit as is the temporary ABBA exhibition. The Mont Saint John brewery makes the best Belgian beer and has a lovely gift shop. The Carrefour hypermarket is one of the best we've visited, as is the adjoining Lunch Garden, and there are other good shops and restaurants around.

We were only in the hotel for one night but were pleasantly surprised at the location in a parkland area, the quality of the facilities and the excellent service from the friendly staff. A simple hotel without unnecessary luxury but provided an enjoyable stay.
