Very efficient and supportive staff. Comfy rooms, the teintable glass between the bathroom and the bedroom is very nice. Most animations in the elevators are awsome (the Tetris one is not quite fun). Although expensive, the breakfast with a view on the Brisbane river is something to experience.

Reception staff were superb. in particular Molly who went to great trouble to move us to a quieter location. Being in our 70/80s the original cabin next to the children play area was a little noisy - to say the least. Molly moved us to. rainforest cabin which was a delight and very quiet.

This resort is Top! Huge apartments, very nice, new, modern, super clean. The beds were very comfortable, very cozy I loved it. Free game room for the kids, free tennis and basketball, nice restaurant great pool. We regret that we didn’t stay longer!

I only visit Brisbane for particular sporting or cultural...

I only visit Brisbane for particular sporting or cultural events and it is good for that. It is not that easy to move around the city and suburbs due to a lack of any consistency in planning and transport infrastructure. The State government negatively impacts by shutting down rail services on weekends regardless of the fact there is a massive event on. Ignorance being in greater motion than the 100s of trains standing idle. If not visiting for a particular event or to visit family, you could easily give this city a swerve as it offers little that can't be obtained elsewhere - head to one of the coasts instead.

I have been to the Gold Coast many times and on this occasion I was only away for one night as I'd had a long day travelling by public transport from the Moreton Bay District and then driving a car I purchased down there through after school traffic (a bit nightmarish but we survived). What I would say to those who have a bit of time to spare is, explore the "green behind the gold" i.e. the hinterland especially Mount Tamborine, and also go over the border a bit into NSW and experience the Northern Rivers, I like to visit Murwillumbah and the Tweed Regional Gallery / Margaret Olley Art Centre

Cairns has always been a central hub for all kinds of visitors from backpackers to visitors in some of the elegant hotels. There are plenty of cafes, lunch and dinner venues then trips to offshore islands and outer reef for snorkeling and diving. Good airport access with domestic and some international flights as well as the famous Spirit of Queensland train to other tourist locations in Queensland through to Brisbane with connections to Brisbane Airport and the Gold Coast

We loved the vibe there, we came for the music festival but stayed for 9 days as seemed a shame not to take in some cruises, can recommend the Camira, but make sure you don’t have mobility issues The stunning views over the bay and the Islands are fantastic whatever the weather, the board walk and the esplanade are really lovely. Loved KC’S with live music every night Handy having a woolies, bottle shop and pharmacy right in town We were a bit unprepared for the restaurant and bar prices We had a great couple of nights out on 1 of the islands, definitely would do that again.

Seeing Family and friends is always the highlight of our...

Seeing Family and friends is always the highlight of our Townsville stay. We were in town to attend a funeral but enjoyed 2 free days either side of that just catching up with family. Particularly enjoyed the Castle Hill goat track walk. Not an easy walk, but you are rewarded with a wonderful view of Magnetic and other surrounding Islands.

We found the people we met very friendly, even the cafe staff who were under the pump as they were so busy. A shout out to the teams at the "Finch Cafe" and "Jillys". Dinner at Fitzy was great too.

1 week without a car was a great idea.

1 week without a car was a great idea. It's so easy to get around. We caught the ferry to Tewantin for a lovely day out. There are beautiful walking tracks and too many wonderful eateries to mention. You can catch the bus to Eumundi Markets which are amazing. The beach is beautiful and clean.

Mackay is a beautiful coastal spot, I'm planning another trip there soon. We visited the Marina, and did some shopping at Canelands. We attended an Engagement party with family there and the venue was beautifully set up, staff were so friendly and the weather was beautiful for a swim and fish and chips.

It's a beautiful location with lots of cafes, lovely walks and stunning beaches. The water inside the bar is very safe especially for little children. If you want more excitement in the water you have the option of the ocean on the other side of the bar.
