The rooms were beautifully appointed, with every detail considered. The bar opening onto the lawn and outdoor area was superb and the 2 staff we dealt with - the Manager and barman were chatty, friendly, helpful and informative, it had a fantastic vibe and the gardens were superb, we walked to the beach and dinner and it was close but far enough away it was peaceful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We stayed in a cabin, which had a kitchen, lounge, dining area and one double bedroom, with an ensuite. Everything was very spacious and light filled. The bathroom was a great size, with a very large shower and plenty of hot water. The bedroom was also a great size, had a tv, fan and big wardrobe, with shelving and hangers, an ironing board and an iron. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a fridge/freezer, microwave and cooktop. Good bench space, with a toaster and jug. Lots of drawers, cupboards and there is a good selection of crockery, cutlery and pots. Dining table, another Tv, aircon, fan and a lounge suite. Parking beside the cabin as well. The owners are lovely and recommended drives to us (the weather wasn't great), with suggestions off the normal tourist track. There are walks from the park to the surf beach and the quieter beach. There was a coffee van, a swimming pool which can be accessed, playgrounds and a big park. Lots of facilities for campers and caravaners. The park is full of trees, so very shady too. We found it very quiet and peaceful. Very short walk to the town centre with a great choice of cafes, bakeries, restaurants and clubs and pubs. We would definitely return here.

Everything!!!! Staff were friendly welcoming and so easy to get along with. Kids felt safe and happy to go collect pool towels from staff, which was nice to be able to relax knowing our kids were happy and safe. Cabins were beautiful nice clean and had everything we needed, the bed was comfy nice to come back and relax after long days out and about.Pool area was amazing I was not expecting it to be so big and have all the features it did. Kids definitely enjoyed the time they spend on the slide and under the water feature. Pool lights looked really pretty at night time also. Laundry room was clean and tidy and the clothesline was very handy. BBQ area was perfect for our big families as we enjoyed cooking and catching up there. Location was perfect good bar/ restaurant right at the front entrance. I could go on and on we absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely recommend to all our friends and family that will be passing through. Thank you

Lovely recently refurbished rooms with 2 queen beds for out family of 4, the pool and spa area were excellent and the buffet breakfast was good. Location was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to friends and stay again when in the Port Macquarie area. We stayed over the weekend so street parking was free right outside the hotel. Helpful staff also a big plus!

It was spacious for our family of 5 and very clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. We were in eucalypt cottage 2 and it had the sweetest yard at the back with space for the kids to play, and stairs that lead down to the main park. The pools were great, again very clean, and the whole space was very kid friendly. We will definitely visit again.

The accommodation is not what we expected.

The accommodation is not what we expected. It needed work, cleaning and was very noisy with the trucks along the highway using their brakes. The shower curtain was moldy, shampoo, condition & soap dispenser had fallen off wall and left on ground. Freezer was dirty, glasses needed to washed & wiped of grime before using. Air-condition in room did not work. Images of room didn't match what the room looked like it was older with dodgy renovation patches. We got room service from the restaurant that incurred a & $10 fee. The meal of simple chicken burgers was inedible due to the excessive amount of sauce which even after wipe off with serviettes could not be eaten. On check out we took the meals & advised management. They apologized and said would follow up. No follow up .. disappointing. Do not stay or eat at this motel.

Byron Bay has a stunning white sand beach where the sand makes a soft, even sound under your feet as you walk. There are lots of surfers and swimmers, creating a lively but relaxed atmosphere. The walk to the lighthouse is beautiful, with amazing coastal views along the way and we even spotted dolphins along the way. The nearby shops and restaurants are lovely and add to the overall charm. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the coast.”

When planning our trip, we had to choose between Coffs Harbour and Port MacQuarie for a 2-night stay between Byron Bay and Hunter Valley. We chose wisely, as there's more going on in Port MacQuarie. We had a good brunch at the Salty Crew Kiosk on the beach, and a quiet, pleasant, evening meal at The Other Side italian.

Relaxed vibe with lots of great cafes and shopping options. Close to Lighthouse Beach (Lifeguard patrolled), Shaws Bay and the river. Great flat walking paths along river. Farmers Markets every Sunday morning. Lennox Head township with Tea Tree Lake (for swimming) only 15 minutes drive. Byron Bay approximately 30 minutes drive. The hinterland is stunning with some waterfalls and swimming holes. We often come to Ballina for a weekend away and will be returning.

Great location to start exploring. There are many surrounding areas for sightseeing and the water lovers surf and snorkeling. Great patrolled beach area and pool for those who are not strong swimmers and who want to cool off on a hot Summer Day. You are spoiled for food choices. We sampled a range of restaurants including The Silician and Wharf Street Distillery.

We always enjoy Yamba, having holiday Ed there on many occasions. We like the way the older part of town has been kept…no high rises, no fast food places. I especially like the way the footpaths have been built and maintained. The town is always neat and tidy as well.

My experience was awful. The place was dirty. The manager was very rude. She suggested that I leave the property because I complaint about the dirty, filthy pool. The outside furniture was dirty and broken. She refused to give me a refund of the amount of $270 per night. I stayed one night. The milk in the fridge was off. The lawns around the property were overgrown. There was cleaning utensils everywhere to be seen. I would not recommend this hotel, sorry. Regards, Kim

There were a lot of impatient drivers when we were slowing down to turn into the motel. All honking horns. We missed it the first time and had to turn around at the roundabout and go back, Would have thought regular road users would be used to cars slowing to pull into motels, etc. would be a little more polite.
