Roger is a very nice man who likes people and loves to talk to them. He is a very good host and does everything to make his guests feel comfortable. And we really enjoyed it - the food was wonderful - we were able to swim in the pool and relax - and we were served by Roger.

My husband and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Churchill cabin, Access was easy and when we walked in it was like wow more than we expected it was absolutely lovely and clean,, the hosts provided more than we expected, the grounds and view were amazing and so private and quite , the location was superb. We even had a pair of magpies visit us each day that we could hand feed which was great. The heat pump was awesome to keep us cool and having a decent size fridge was great as well as a great rain head shower. We will be back at some stage and would love to stay here again. We recommend this place for either a single person or a couple you cant go wrong and at a great price

Staff were lovely. Such a pleasure to deal with. Very understanding when I went to inform them and see of i needed to do any more than wash all sheets and mattress protector when my little boy had accidentally wet the bed over night. Would definitely stay again.

Hervey Bay is such a gem for a holiday a few hours from Brisbane . Away from the hustle of the Sunshine Coast Hervey Bay is a relaxed easy going destination to melt your stress away . Great restaurants, fresh seafood 🍤 in the park or a walk along the esplanade sipping your favorite coffee , while you pick up a treasure from the market stalls filled with great brick a brack.

Loved our time on Fraser island ...took a beauty points all day tour which was informative and really enjoyable. ... also was able to take advantage of a flight from the beach over lake Mckenzie and the ocean edge.. saw many whales.. truly amazing! .Extended our stay to 6 nights.. great walks from the resort...our breakfast was included and was a very tasty hot buffet with many options... would definitely recommend Fraser island as a few days getaway.. only negative was the rooms weren't obviously soundproof and the people above us were a bit noisy at times

We were visiting family so didn't do anything much touristy this time. We were there mid December for Christmas and found the weather hot, humid and almost unbearable without air con. (we used to live in Maryborough) There was a breeze some of the time but it's best to stay in the shade if you can. Lots of that in the parks. If you are into heritage stuff, then you could spend a week in Maryborough and not see it all. Museums are great as are the ghost walks and walking tours of the town. Beautiful parks and gardens with a water park (within Anzac Park on Alice St,) for your kids which is more than adequate for a days fun. Bike paths, skate park, feed the wildlife like ducks, geese, turtles, eels in the lagoon adjacent to the golf course which is part of the park. Lots of exercise equipment and climbing frames, swings, balance beams and a flying fox. Grades from toddlers to adults across several spaces. A Riverside walk and a steam train called the Mary Ann are at Queens Park as well as a band stand and tribute to the ANZACS. You could spend the day in this park too. Quiet spots to sit and admire the garden beds. Not a fan of takeaway food but most of the coffee shops have a good range of sandwiches and salads. The pubs offer the usual fare, none of which we eat but have been told is good.

We had a long weekend but could easily have stayed a week and done more activities including whale watching and visiting K'gari Island. Hervey Bay is a relaxed place but we still found things to do and a few shops open on the Sunday. The long coastal beach and shaded track are perfect for walking or cycling to explore, including watching the sunset from the very long pier.

Such a lovely small town. Friendly people and great coffee shop with lots of retro items! They also have a wonderful Christmas shop to visit. We did our own meals but apparently the pub does takeaway, so very handy.

Love Burrum, love the river & the beach.

Love Burrum, love the river & the beach. Great fishing. during the day the facilities are good. The only issue is the lack of a restaurant, or eating facilities at night. Love that the pub has a courtesy bus, but food choice is very limited, & no entertainment. The bowls club was closed on a Sunday night, so the only choice was the pub. Food was good, but pricey & not much variety.

Nice little place for a relaxing few days, people and dog friendly. Great walking paths along the beaches and surrounding areas. Not a big shopping area but enough to get by for a couple of days. There are other bigger shopping centres only minutes drive away.

Our stay at this charming retreat was nothing short of magical! From the moment we booked, the legendary host, Marilyn, showered us with warmth and care, ensuring every detail was meticulously arranged. Though we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Marilyn in person, her presence was felt in every corner of the impeccably maintained property, reflecting her heart and soul. Jane, her delightful neighbour, stepped in seamlessly, ensuring our comfort and happiness throughout our stay. The cleanliness and attention to detail exceeded our wildest expectations, making this experience unforgettable. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jane for her kindness and hospitality, which added an extra layer of joy to our stay. We cannot wait to return and bask again in the love and kindness permeating this sanctuary.

K’gari is a very unique place- just getting there involves significant planning! ( 4WD, ferry across to hook point, timing the tides to enable driving on the beach to where you want to go….and get back….) things like wifi and mobile reception are non existent or very patchy. Most of the accomodation is reliant on solar power or has a generator for power. The unique vistas, beaches that go forever and inland tracks to get to the freshwater lakes are pretty special. There are very limited resources on the island ( I.e food!) so being self sufficient is ideal. The bakery at Eurong village was a bonus! Remember to organise your National Parks pass- the rangers frequently check these.
