Eva and Gareth are great and welcoming hosts! - They designed and built the 2 houses themselves and you can feel all the love they put in it. For me as a European it's real refreshing to see at least some building in Australia that is not the low-quality cardboard-like house typical for this country but something more prone to real quality. P.e. the main door has double-glazed windows, the walls are made of material that let the place "breathe" and feel warm inside without having to use the heating. - Added to that the big terrace with a view of over Bremer Bay!!

Bremer Bay, out of the busy season is a quiet, beachside town with a general store, brewery and beautiful beaches. If you enjoy nature and beaches it’s a relaxing town. A car is needed for exploring. There is a sports club for golf and bowls. You are best to bring your supplies as food and alcohol can be expensive. Bremer Bay Resort restaurant is very good place to eat with lovely friendly staff.

Hopetoun hotel is a community hub, welcoming and wonderful food and conversation around the pool table. The family friendly beach and playground a great for kids and young families, and the pub is also family friendly. It really is the place to stay for visiting the Fitzgerald River National Park. IGA and Bakery well stocked, and Simon's fish and chips very generous and delicious.

Lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house - far more than we expected. Well furnished, and very comfortable. The owner-manager is really helpful, and he runs a huge restaurant on site, with the best fish and chips we have ever had! Very courteous staff too! Highly recommended for a family too.

The orca trip was well organised and worth the money.

The orca trip was well organised and worth the money. We saw orca at a short distance and were surrounded by hundreds (really!) of dolphins playing. The beaches are beautiful and we were sorry we didn’t have more time to explore them. Dining options are limited.

There is a lovely Bakery.

There is a lovely Bakery. We had a great curry at the Port Hotel and another restaurant in town gave us a good breakfast with excellent coffee. But beware that it is a very small town and not everything is always open. Including the petrol station. Best to check opening hours.
