Zero problems getting to property. To be fair I booked a Seaview villa and it was so wonderful. Beautiful view and Coral Bay is amazing. Staff were excellent. I had booked a full day snorkelling tour out of Coral Bay. I was in Exmouth and no tours from there at that time of the year, November. Random days but not guaranteed, plus I wasn't there for a week to hopefully make a tour work. Anyways, I did scope out Coral Bay Peoples Parks and other accommodations prior to even going to Exmouth. See my options and determine whether it was even worth it to stay there, thinking less stress of driving back to Exmouth after a full day snorkeling tour. I was thinking on staying in Coral Bay for the one night after the tour. I was concerned about food I bought, staying in the car all day, ice packs, but not sufficient for the heat. I asked Peoples Park, if I could keep my food cold somewhere, prior to checking in because of snorkeling tour... They said "zero problem" and proceeded to tell me info. That went a long ways for me after some of the "experiences" in Exmouth. Flat tire, shredded after driving a 100 m in a 2 wheel drive approved area. I was only 10k our of town, nightmare trying to get help from businesses, it was unbelievable. I also stayed at RAC park in Exmouth and even though the place was 70% empty, they put a camper directly in front of my cabin, so close it was a struggle to park my car. Felt very unsafe and completely unnecessary, that's twice, and only time I booked with RAC parks, in a total of four months of traveling in Australia, how thoughtless they are, never again will I book with RAC. Long story short I ended up booking two days at Peoples Park and it wonderful. Great views, super clean and even wifi, (rare in northern WA), that said it was a villa, It was amazingly relaxing. Peoples Park was amazing for me. I loved the "hometown community" feel there.

Very nice big appartment with one bedroom, nice and clean bathroom and a kitchen/living room area. We really felt like home! The bed was very comfortable and big. The kitchen was fully equipped. The fridge was not very big but there was a freezer separtly. We had a bbq and even a washing machine! The resort has a big pool and a restaurant, however we didn't try the food there.

Staff were extremely friendly especially since we were late arrivals. Villa Facilities were good and clean with loads of space and adequate parking. Beds were extremely comfy, had a great sleep. Close to supermarket and town centre. Had a weird network outage but can't blame Tasman for that. Would happily stay again.

Geraldton is a goodly drive from Perth, allow 5 hours minimum by the highway, nice longer route is via the Midlands way. Allow longer for the drive if it's your first time because there are lots of scenic and historic places close to Geraldton for stopping/sightseeing. Geraldton deserves 2-3 nights if it's your first/only visit. Heaps of history and other places of interest.

The accomodation options in Kalbarri are excellent.

The accomodation options in Kalbarri are excellent. There are good beaches, cafes, taverns, restaurants and shops. Within short drives you can view the pink lake, skywalk, natures window and coastal observation points. Good eating options included the Pelican Cafe on the beach, the tavern and the Kalbarri Edge Resort.

Friendly and clean town.

Friendly and clean town. Good variety of nice places to eat and drink. I ate and watched the sun go down with a cocktail or two, at the Beach Cafe, next to caravan park, Good coffee. I stayed in a cabin at Sommerstar Caravan park, most excellent, walking distance to pretty much everything. Plenty to do if you want to or just relax....the beach was great, lots of kids fishing at the end of jetty (catching blowies if anything) great walking tracks, pram or bike friendly. Skydiving, saw a few people land on the beach. Can't think of anything I didn't like. IGA is only food store in town. Excellent produce but little expensive. Well stocked neat and clean.

Carnarvon Gateway Motel My experience was appalling,...

Carnarvon Gateway Motel My experience was appalling, distressing, and far below acceptable health and safety standards. Upon checking in, I was assigned a room that was infested with cockroaches, visibly dirty, and contained someone else’s clothing from a previous guest. When I called the motel owner to report this, I was met with rudeness and indifference. She told me to “squish them and deal with it,” despite me explaining that I had already killed several cockroaches and could see more crawling along the walls while on the phone with her. When I asked what could be done, she replied, “What do you want me to do about it?” and then hung up on me. At this point, I was extremely upset and prepared to sleep in my car, as every other accommodation in Carnarvon was fully booked. Approximately 40 minutes later, a staff member knocked on my door and apologised for the situation. He inspected the room, confirmed the infestation, and began searching for an alternative room with me. Over the next two hours (from 11:00 PM until around 1:00 AM), we inspected approximately 30 different rooms, all of which were infested with cockroaches, filthy, and in disrepair. Many rooms had heavy dust build-up, mould in the bathrooms, ripped bedding, and visible spider webs. One even had a frog inside. The overall state of the motel was disgraceful and unsanitary. Eventually, I was placed in a room that the staff member admitted was “blocked off” because it did not have a working fire alarm—a major safety violation. While this room also had cobwebs and a noticeable odour, it was the cleanest available, and I was completely exhausted from hours of searching. This entire ordeal left me distressed, exhausted, and disgusted. The conditions at Carnarvon Gateway Motel present clear health, hygiene, and safety risks, and the owner’s dismissive and unprofessional response was unacceptable.

Loved the relaxed vibe in Exmouth, it is very casual with a sixties vibe. We loved our glass bottomed boat trip on the reef and the friendly people who ran it. It was great to see the turtles at the beach and visit the lighthouse and the shipwreck. All the beaches are just amazing.

Was able to check in before 2pm.

Was able to check in before 2pm. Before checking in we went out to the Pinnacles, which was out of this world, bit warm the hottest day we had while away. First night there we eat at the pub as the motel had a private function on. We eat at the motel the second night, meal was quite good, Breakfast was at the motel and had a large range of food. Very easy to get around Cervantes.

Our accommodation at #2 chalet at Tasman Holiday Park was perfect. Very comfortable. Jo at reception was really friendly and helpful. The Shark Bay Hotel was ok, cold drinks and great location but food was not great and we didn't feel welcome there. The Old Pearler is a great building and we had an (expensive) dinner, atmosphere was lovely. Both supermarkets were great, very helpful and could have a chat and learn a bit more about the area and places to go. We also bought seafood from Shark Bay Fish Factory which was amazing. Unfortunately, Roger Cook's government is closing commercial fishing in the area from January 1 2026 and so they will no longer be operational. What a loss! Location was perfect for us with easy access to Monkey Mia. We also came at a time that was quiet and I believe Denham can become very busy at peak times.

Coral Bay is stunning and accessible for all.

Coral Bay is stunning and accessible for all. A short walk to the nursery is recommended to see the baby sharks but make sure to pick the right tide as you may be disappointed. Recommend the 3 hour turtle viewing/snorkel tour as best value for trips but the dune buggies is always a hit for our tribe too and seats 4 so the little ones get to enjoy the experience too.
