Thank you so much for having us! The whole experience was a positive one for our family and we are very appreciative of the hospitality which included snacks on arrival and the wood fire going on a cool winter's afternoon. Communication was fantastic, including a folder with all of the information we needed as well as a friendly hand written note. Not to mention the beautiful decor and layout of the accommodation. I would highly recommend this place to anyone exploring Adelaide and surrounds as it is nestled in a very handy spot and your hosts will ensure your stay is a pleasant one.

Best hotel we have ever stayed in! The staff was excellent. Can’t think of anything I would change/improve. They even left us a little card + cookies in our room since we were celebrating our birthdays. What a great experience!!!

It’s a great cottage for 3 couples, perhaps 4 girlfriends, quiet location, gorgeous enclosed garden for relaxing in. Our beds were very comfy, great shower, roomy kitchen and a shady private patio in front of the house to retreat to. We loved the Thai restaurant recommended in the visitors info folder.

Aldgate is for lovers of basics for a holiday.

Aldgate is for lovers of basics for a holiday. Minimally touristy. Reasonable amenities. Nice walks in the area. Close to lots of hills attractions but away from the hustle & bustle. Own transport recommended. It is cooler than downtown Adelaide.

Really cute little town.

Really cute little town. Lots of other quaint, small towns in easy driving distance. We booked four nights (with a function on the first full day) but actually left one day early. Was winter and once the weather turned, we were ready for home.

This place had everything we needed and more! The bed was comfortable, we enjoyed an evening swim after we arrived, the breakfast options perfect! We’ll be back again next time we are in Adelaide! We ate dinner at the naughty neighbour (close by) wine bar and it was delicious.

Great pub and a small IGA supermarket, couple of take aways and restaurants, some other small shops and one or two services. Stirling is a few minutes away and is much larger. Most of the scenic sites are nearby. Some nice bush walks in the area

Very pleasant stay, owner very helpful, and the decor was fantastic, Bed was just right. No cooking facilities however and probably not needed, would have been great if we could have used an electric BBQ or something to cook breakfast, and the walkway to the Hot tub probably is a little slippery and should be upgraded, but all in all a delightful stay, could recommend to anyone.

Stirling has so much to offer.

Stirling has so much to offer. Great restaurants, cafes and close to Adelaide if you need to go there with a good bus service. Great for bike rides, Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens, walks, Cleland Wildlife Park and access to all the Hills townships.

Highly recommended. The house was warm and welcoming.

Highly recommended. The house was warm and welcoming. Had all the utensils and appliances you needed. From extras of cleaning products, washing detergent and more.. The fireplace was a lovey treat on a very cold and wet weekend. (Note to bring your own firewood) The house was clean and extra portable heaters for the bedrooms which was much needed. The kids loved exploring the property and creek. The communication was fantastic. My only dislikes would be the beds were a bit hard for my personal preference. A bigger couch and a veranda out the back would have been nice too. All personal preference really. It was a perfect location with shops within 5min drive. We will be back agin. Perfect little winter get away with the family. Highly recommend
