The hotel is top quality. Starting with clean and cozy rooms, forthcomming and caring personnel ending with absolutely fabulous dinner. Greatly furnished rooms with large enough beds (I have difficulty with this in 90% of the hotels) were cherry on top. Gorgeous view from the balcony as well as high quality spa and tasty afternoon snacks were great surprises!

An absolutely beautiful place.inside and out. Everything was so clean and thr staff (amd dogs!) lovely and friendly. And the dinner was amazing! A 3-course meal with perfectly cooked pork escalope! Note it is a very long and steep walk to & from this property. If that's not your things, blether to stay in the valley. But if you enjoy hiking and nature this is a greatvplace to stay.

Everything!!! Very vegan friendly, the restaurant offers lots of vegan options, staff is way friendly, nice and kind (they asked all the time if everything's ok), the wellness center had free of charge tea, water and nuts. The swimming pool was relaxing, the water temperature perfect, the beds from the wellness area very comfy. The terrace was also very cool with a great view and we could helped ourselves with drinks. The bedroom was well equipped. I only missed different types of pillows (for my hubby was too soft). I also would like to recommend for the future an installation of an infrared cabin. The breakfast was AMAZING!!! Thanks again for everything!!!

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Werdenfelserei from 7 to 16 March. The hotel is really good looking (design) and clean, can't say anything bad about that. The whole staff is really nice and do their job very good and the welcome drink and the bottle of wine on the last night is very appreciated (despite my wife is pregnant, she'll drink it in a few weeks) We loved the spa and swimming pool and the area (park and close to the city center) is perfect. The breakfast is one of the best we've ever had.

Absolutely lovely hotel, very welcoming people, the place itself is homey, quiet and comfy. The view from the balcony is amazing and it's tough to go to bed and stop gazing at all the stars. Breakfast is plenty. Enjoyed very much. Pillows are a bit too soft, but it's not an issue.

Unique building, very fun and colourful. The extra games area (giant Jenga, table tennis, darts, climbing wall and loads of choice of board games) for kids was excellent and made for a lovely relaxed and enjoyable evening for the whole family.

This is one of those towns you need to keep coming back to.

This is one of those towns you need to keep coming back to. We love GP for a weekend getaway. We always ride the train in and get around by foot (or bus) after we're there. Go in every season...there's always something wonderful to experience.

A picturesque little village with a train station to the Zugspitze, outdoor and indoor swimming and saunas, beautiful mini-golf, lots of hiking trails, and good connections, e.g., Garmisch to Partenkirchen and the Austrian side. It is only under a 1,5 h drive from Munich.

A beautiful little town in the mountains.

A beautiful little town in the mountains. There are sooo many choices of where to eat. Walking around oldtown is a treat with the paintings on the buildings, views of the mountains and decisions of where to eat. Oldtown is completely walkable.

What I especially liked, Ehrwald has everything close by: restaurants, cable cars, and beautiful hiking trails. It’s the perfect starting point for tours and enjoying the local cuisine. I ate at Hoisler’s Wirtshaus, on the Ehrwalder Alm, and at Papas Café Bar – all of them were tasty and had a cozy atmosphere. Getting around Ehrwald is super easy. You can take the bus, explore on foot, or drive – everything is well connected. There are lots reat activities for solo travelers: A trip to the highline179 in Reutte, Tyrol was a real highlight – the suspension bridge offers breathtaking views and is easy to reach. While you're there, you can also take in the impressive Ehrenberg castle complex. Hiking from the Seebensee to the Drachensee or visiting the Eibsee are also highly recommended – stunning scenery and well worth the effort.

We usually like to visit Lermoos for a short vacation.

We usually like to visit Lermoos for a short vacation. The best thing about our one night stay this time was the Sevim Holzofen Pizzeria. Awesome food and such a warm welcome. Unfortunately this time we had a very poor experience staying at 'keyone' accommodation.

Ettals main, and only, attraction is the Abbey.

Ettals main, and only, attraction is the Abbey. Which is certainly impressive. You'll most likely visit Ettal for the region, as it is a great point to start your hikes and/or visit Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkichen. Munchen and Innsbruck are only an hour drive away.

Biberwier is a beautiful, pastoral village nestled in the Austrian Alps, offering a serene and picturesque environment for visitors. Farchant is a great stay if you want to be out of the...

Farchant is a great stay if you want to be out of the busyness of Garmisch-Partenkirchen but not too far away to be a moment away. Great local food and welcoming people, have been coming here for years and plan to return. The atlas hotel has a great restaurant with lots of choice and it’s easy to get to with the train station from Munich or Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight...

We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight in our accommodations. However, it was perfectly located for our planned day trips - visits to the peak of the Zugspitze, nearby alpine lakes, and castle visits (Ehrenberg, Hohenschwangau, and Neuschwanstein), including a walk back and forth over the Highline 179 suspension bridge and ziplining down to the parking lot. If we had had more time, would have spent it exploring Berwang itself. Can't say enough about how beautiful the area is.
