Alpen Hertz Romantic hotel was one of the best in our long history of skiing. The hotel is clean, looks new, the rooms are large and the hotel is close to the ski slopes. Excellent food. Dinner menu is wide: you can choose meat, fish or vegan dishes. The food is lovingly prepared, like in good restaurants. Plenty of vegetables. Large spa area at no extra cost. The swimming pool is open 24 hours a day. Plenty of different temperatures and types of sauna. Every evening there are sauna programmes organised by experienced masters. There is an outdoor pool. There is a large relaxation area. There is a separate area where you can get body and facial massages and other treatments for an extra charge. The hotel tries to organise additional entertainment for its guests, so that every evening is not a boring one. There is a bar area where you can sit with company during the day and in the evening, have a tasty drink or an extra snack. There is enough space for parking. Awesome stuff, very friendly and helpful. The best location, just about to the underground station which can take you to the cable car. Room service was top quality, always did an awesome job. From the window we had a wonderful view of the beauty of the Alps. The hotel restaurants serve good food at affordable prices. The ski room was very warm and easily accessible from the street, it's not a big deal for snowboarders but it's for fans of skiing. Even when the hotel has its own age the elevator was very modern and fast.

This is already our second year at this place because we enjoyed it last year so much! needless to say, it was amazing! Location is fabulous, right next to the cable car, 3 minute walk. Also close to the shops. The apartment is so nice and airy with 2 balconies with a great view! Even though, it is in a hotel, it feels very private like a apartment in a building, which we loved. For kids, there is a whole amazing playroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definetely come again next year!

We loved everything. Excellent food, polite and highly proffessional staff, comfy and quiet rooms, carpeted corridor floors, same table during breakfast and dinner. Entertaining water world with pleasant water temperature. Afternoon buffet with tasty cooked food - more likely full-board. Indoor garage. Direct entrance to the ski slope. Oysters included in the evening buffet really surprised :) We will come back..

Serfaus is a pretty and charming alpine village, in the...

Serfaus is a pretty and charming alpine village, in the Serfause-Fiss-Ladis resort. If you stay in the resort then you can get a very discounted 'summer card' lift pass, and access to about 12 cable-cars.There is a mid-level 'komperdell' (former summer grazing) with childrens play parks and alpine-hut restaurants. They serve tasty traditional dishes in addition to the norm. From here you can get cable cars to the high level mountainside above the tree line. Well marked paths link all the 'alpine huts' and cable car stations. There is a programme of events, many of which are for children, and they have a childrens club. Fabulous.

Very small, quiet village, focussed on families with small...

Very small, quiet village, focussed on families with small children and hikers. Very few restaurants, 2 small bars, two sport shops and one mini market. Although big, the ski area of Serfaus Fiss Ladis is not among the best in Tyrol, since only the two extreme areas are high and north-facing enough to have good ski conditions throughout the ski season. The relatively low, sun-facing central areas have rather poor ski conditions, especially in the afternoon. From Ladis you loose at least the first 20 minutes of the day to get to Fiss, before you actually go up the mountain and into the ski area. So if you like better ski logistics, more entertainment and facilities, then better to consider Fiss or Serfaus.

The village is really near to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski areal (cca 15 minutes by car) but almost 3 times cheaper than accommodation in Serfaus, Fiss or Ladis villages. Very comfortable as a waypoint to Alpes. There is also an opportunity to use skibus to the ski areal. There are plenty hotels, accommodation, restaurants and bigger supermarket M-Preis in the village, so there is everything what a tourist needs.

I was here for just 1 night...the hotel was very good, but I haven't seen much of the village, because I had to leave the next morning. So I haven't seen much of Fendels. The hotel is a friendly place, also for children!

Kaunertal Gletscherstrasse : Walk on the red rocks en walk walk to the 2 seeleslakes, Hölunderblutensapf at the Gapatchshaus. Fort Altfinstermunz. Naturparkhaus Kaunergrat : viewpoint and Harbe-rundwanderung. Walk from Aifneralm to Falkaunsalm (wanderbus) Namlos-pas and Hahntenjoch : beautiful. Timmelsjoch: beautiful. Pfundser Tschey: nice. Rosengartenschlucht. Seerestaurant Ried: tasty, not expensive and nice location !

Tidy picturesque village with gratis (!) subway (!)

Tidy picturesque village with gratis (!) subway (!) that brings you from your hotel (or from obligatory parking if you aren't staying overnight in the village) to the valley station of the cable car. You absolutely must take one of these cable cars to get into hiking/skiing areas above the village. I imagine this is a great place to spend time with kids, but also couples and bigger groups would find it nice.

The resort Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is very good with many slops...

The resort Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is very good with many slops and lifts. Prices everywhere are good, parking is available close to the lift. Unluckily, the snow was not too much and the temperatures were high! It was a challenge to get back to the hotel by ski on the end of the day as the snow was melted! Very crowdy during our stay and we need to wait almost every lift for 10 minutes minimum (most probably kids’ holiday cause it). We get dinner at several places. The best one is at Alpine Resort Goies Superior Restaurant – so cozy! I would recommend “Pizzeria Reblaus” for a good food and “Après-ski bar Geigaloch” for a good food and party place! Our hotel was close to the lift, so walking in the morning for 3-4 minutes was not a problem. We use after the ski our car and travel around after skiing all day!

Relatively small but quite well-mainained bike park with...

Relatively small but quite well-mainained bike park with varied trails for all skill levels. It's great that the town encourages leaving the car parked for the duration of your stay - it definitely makes walking around more pleasant!

Ladis is a lovely mountain town in the beautiful Austrian...

Ladis is a lovely mountain town in the beautiful Austrian Tyrol and it connects to the large Serfaus, Fiss, Ladis ski area. Which is a great ski area, with well maintained pistes, great mountain restaurants and efficient lift system and the hospitality is very friendly and helpful.
