Beautiful hotel, great location, modern, very well designed, the staff was very kind and helpful and they made sure we had everything we needed. We arrived very late due to heavy traffic as we were driving from far, and reception closes at 20:00 so we contacted them and they told us they will leave our key in a safe box, she made sure we had all the instructions and she was always willing to help and really kind. The room was big and pleasant, I loved the rituals toiletries! And the view was beautiful, the bed was also comfortable, and breakfast was excellent! They had a lot of choice and variety :) We only stayed 1 night as we needed a stop over, and we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel! I wish we could have stayed longer, but we are hoping to go back sometime again :) thank you very much for your kindness and hospitality!

The food was superior. This is haute-cuisine. It's definitely worth the price but probably too fancy for my children who are more than happy with wiener schnitzel and frites. The buffet is phenomenal and the attention from wait staff was incredible. Every evening mealtime was an event and I enjoyed every mouthful. My children loved the pool and the play room. Thank goodness, too, for the TV which meant my children could happily watch Paw Patrol (German dubbed).

The location was perfect for us, peaceful but close to everything, with parking and great restaurants in a walking distance. The hotel itself is beautiful and cozy, and our room was spacious and comfortable - big windows and a large bed with perfect mattresses and pillows. The owners were lovely and the breakfast was delicious with freshly cooked fried or scrambled eggs, home made cake and excellent coffee. We miss it already! Karen & Gal.

The room was perfect for a solo traveler and even included a balcony which I hadn’t seen upon booking. The pool and wellness facilities were great! Even at busier times I was able to find a place to relax within the wellness area or pool side. The reception staff (Family Mayr) were fantastic, no question went unanswered and on multiple occasions I saw them treat fellow guests with complicated questions in a beautiful manner. The restaurant staff were lovely and made every possible touch to make the experience personable, before I’d sat down at my table they knew which breakfast item I’d choose and which beer I would have in the evening. The staff behind the bar were such open people that they treated you as friends not customers. One night I missed dinner (ate out with friends) and the following night the restaurant staff all checked on me to see if I was okay. Really nice touch. I would normally stay in an apartment in the village as I have done for many years, but my stay at The Hanneshof was a welcome change to this. I can only recommend it. In the pictures I have included the view of the Rötelstein mountain from my balcony and some menu options from their Gala Dinners.

The chalet was huge with many spacious rooms and facilities for a peaceful stay. It can accommodate 3 families easily providing enough space on the terrace or in dining room around the huge table. Location is perfect - it is not far away from downtown and from the nature. Sauna was also great. The view from the balcony is spectacular. We build plans to visit this chalet once more cause we would like to compare our experience with another season of the year.

Great facilities and wonderful staff. It hardly gets better than this! You really get the feeling that the staff really cares about your stay. They remembered my choices for breakfast, tried to figure out our wine preferences based on initial choices, knew when to offer their services and when not to. Can't recommend this establishment enough!

It is a fantastic hotel. They think about everything you may need when travelling with small kids. However the staff at the restaurant was the top. Such a friendly team running with hot plates among kids everywhere and still with a smile on their face. Wow! Food was absolutely delicious. We will hopefully arrive again.

Huge hotel, plenty of possibilities to spend time and entertain. Fantastic food, plenty of choices. Comfortable parking. Clean and once more clean. The only downside - in my opinion - the style not modernized since opening in 2004 (?) already a little outdated. But nothing looks worn out, but only some old-fashioned.

A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

Gorgeous view of mountains, great place for nature-lovers, you can spend there some quality time both in winter & in summer. Hallstatt, Zell am See, Dachstein are only 1 hour drive from Wagrain. Be aware of toll roads & tunnels (above the motorway fee). If you are travelling with kids, they will enjoy the Hermann Maier Freizeitpark in Flachau (ca 15-20 mins drive from Wagrain). You should check out the opening schedule of supermarkets and restaurants, eg. after 9 PM, you might not find any open places or restaurants could have their own break days.

A nice little town with history.

A nice little town with history. The city walls and towers are still there to see. You can walk around the old city center and read about the history of the town. There are several restaurants and café. One could go to a cinema or go listening to the music, but this is to be checked in advance. Hiking in the mountain forests or cycling - this is what you do here. There are downhill ski routes, but we were in summer and could not say anything about these. Within an hour of driving you can reach popular touristic places around, like Dachstein, Hallstadt, Pongau or Salzburg.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region. We have small kids and it was perfect for our kind of trip. There are various pharmacies and supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing stores, even a little market on the weekends, and just great facilities all around (including a playground for kids).

Slopes are exactly what we need - red-blu, with fast lifts and not crowded of people even on a pick of Christmas period . All the area is a great value for money and we will definitely come back. Apreski bar at the slope next to the gondola is super party place after ski and we spended there our evenings with much emotions. We visited also Therme and it was a great experience- at this time there was a laser show and disco party - great experience for any ages. At the center we found some good restaurants and pizza places for dinner. Our stay was too short for more but we will come back to continue..

Room was very nice with five beds and we just used three. Nice little kitchen and very spacious bath with great shower. Huge balcony looking out on the green slops. Fantastic breakfast. Wonderful host. Close to autobahn entrance and several villages with all amenities and great restaurants.

This is the fifth time I have visited Zauchensee and it never disappoints. Snowfall on arrival and snowfall on departure - a few bluebird days in between and my children had an excellent skiing experience. The FirstPeak hotel is superb for families as a ski-in/ski-out option and I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here for the comfortable rooms but mainly the superior food - the best I've tasted on a skiing holiday. Only downside is that Zauchensee has limited options for buying snacks/drinks as there is no supermarket, and no pharmacy unless you travel into the nearest village.

Amazing place!

Amazing place! We were returning from our summer vacation and decided to stop in Kleinarl to rest from the travel. There is an information centre in Kleinarl, the friendly staff helped which places to visit. Kleinarl has a ski lift that leads to the walkways on the mountain. On the mountain, there is a restaurant with a beautiful view of Kleinarl, an amazing place to rest from walking, great to spend with kids. After visiting the mountain, we went to the beautiful Jagersee lake. We are delighted with the place.

I love it there, really much..

I love it there, really much.. There's everything for anyone - hiking in summer, skiing in winter, bathing, sauna world, attractions for children. And all about 5 minutes from highway, in sunny valley.
