Hotel is new and modern. All staff members are really polite and helpful (reception, restaurant, cleaning ladies). Ski room, restaurant area and spa looks very nice. Rooms are big and comfortable. Food is excellent, both breakfast and dinner, I would reccomend half board. There are both open and garage parking area.

The BEST LOCATION EVER for ski in Austria!! This is a 5 star Hotel , with the most beautiful chalets!! We stayed in 306 . Clean , comfortable with excellent facilities. The breakfast was very good “ even with champagne “ The dinner “ 4 course “ was out of this world… compliments to the chef . The staff was very friendly and assisted us with everything!! Thank you for helping us with the ski hire… excellent!!! The spa with the amazing pool , took our breath away!! Wish we could go back tomorrow!!

Location is excellent as there are many nearby places to visit. Hotel is modern and finished to a high standard. Great breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel sorted a taxi for our group to a restaurant in the hills, excellent! It's on our Hotel list for more visits.

Great position, 5 minute by car to the glacier Kitzeinhorn, 10 minute from lake zel am see, fantastic thermal center so clean and organized, nice gym and swimming pools. Great breakfast , dinner not so good ( in italy we cook better..). One particular mention to Hannes the man who propose excursion so professional and kind. The bycicle tour of the valley and around lake for me and my son was unforgetteble !

One of the best things about staying in a cabin was the wonderful huge box of breakfast ingredients that get delivered to your door in the morning which you awake to..just fantastic ! A very beautiful destination, we were alone on the mountain...

A very beautiful destination, we were alone on the mountain ridges most of the time. We would definitely like to return. For swimming, we recommend the lake in Zell am See rather than the local swimming pool, which is quite small and completely crowded.

The Saliter Hof Hotel location - on flat ground surrounded...

The Saliter Hof Hotel location - on flat ground surrounded by fields - is excellent, as there are great views of mountains in the near distance from the hotel. (A far more expensive hotel, that I visited to meet friends, was deep in a valley with high mountains on either side so the view was very limited). My hotel was about half full in late September, but imagine the whole place is packed with skiing parties when the snow arrives. Either drive yourself or a hire car is essential to get around, though my hotel had bicycles available for local exploring. In the winter months, quite nearby, I could see a ski-jumping centre for those brave highly skilled skiers who want to fly through the air. In fact there were 4 different height ski jump tracks for beginners right through to Olympic standard experts. The hotel was even better than expected, with a wellness centre on the top floor, and 2 sauna cabins open 2pm-8pm. Breakfast was very good and the balcony was an extra bonus. Saalfelden, the main town has supermarkets for supplies, and petrol stations for your car. But note; the speed limits on roads change very frequently. Without knowing it, you can cross between 80 kph, 60 kph, 30 kph and occasionally 100 kph (for only a short distance) all within a couple of minutes. Be careful !

Great to get a summer pass that included free bus travel to various local hikes/cable cars and the lifts were free also with the pass, like the bus service. It was great not to use our car. The twon is cute and clean. A little small.

MIttersill is not a big town, but it sits in the middle of...

MIttersill is not a big town, but it sits in the middle of an amazing area full of mountain views, castles, and amazing hiking especially if you use the many, many ski lifts in the area to get up into the mountains. Location gives easy access to Kitzbuhel, Grossglockner Pass, and numerous parks and beautiful hiking areas. Recommend staying out of town in the many properties available on the hillsides. Beautifully built homes with lots of wood, decks for views, and easy access to roads, grocery stores, and everything needed for a great vacation!

Leogang is a hidden gem attached to the Skicircus Saalbach.

Leogang is a hidden gem attached to the Skicircus Saalbach. We come to Leogang (Rain) for the easy connection to this massive ski area, without the crowds or noise of Saalbach. The ski runs down to Leogang itself are among the best in this area, with #206 being a great cruising blue with unexpectedly excellent snow late in the day when everything else was slush, and lots of fun short reds and blues for the weak-legged at the top of Asitz. Leogang village is quite spread out between the Sonnrain/Leogang/Rosental area (a small village with a supermarket and bakery), Rain (a small hamlet with a massive hotel, attached restaurant and little else), and... whatever the bottom of the Asitzbahn is called - still Leogang? We came via train, and used the train/bus to get around, but be aware Leogang station is a 25 minute walk from anywhere useful. Rain has a large hotel and not a lot else. We did need to go on hour-round-trip walks to get to the supermarket in Leogang proper. That was fine, because we were here for the skiing and the access to the skiing is great. If you're looking for a very quiet, upmarket environment with great skiing access, Rain is the place to stay. If you want more convenience, check out either Leogang itself (more stuff, but you'll be bussing to the lifts if the morning) or the Asitzbahn area (a bit more to do than Rain, but no station).

Great authentic Austrian building with space to spare.

Great authentic Austrian building with space to spare. Don't expect modern but this adds to the charm of the place. Property was well equipped with everything that we needed. Easy parking and access to the building. All conveniences close by or a short drive away. Stunning views from the balcony and all round great place to stay.

Neukirchen is a nice little town with a ski lift in the center (Bergbahnen Wildkogel). It has Billa and Spar which are both open on Sundays (14:00-18:00). You can easily access Königsleiten or Hochkrimml, Zillertal Ski Arena (30 minutes by car).

Have been visiting Rauris for many years in both Winter and Summer and it never fails to deliver. It hasn't got the largest ski area but there are a good mix of runs and very little queueing for lifts. There are a good selection of places to eat and drink on the mountain as well as in the village itself with two decent size supermarkets. There are two ski schools of which we always use Adventure Ski Rauris as their prices are very reasonable and they have really nice staff from the girls on reception through to the ski/boot fitters and the instructors. A short drive away is the beautiful lakeside town of Zell Am See. Its not the rowdiest of villages but of you like a quieter resort this is the one for you.
