AustriaThere was a very warm welcome. My son had a Birthday on Saturday. I asked for a candle in any kind of served desert at dinner. Instead we have got an amazing chocolate cake, Prosecco and kids bubbles as a surprise. It was very nice and much appreciated:) thank you for that .
Hotel is located right at the slopes and has an amazing sauna area. Everyone was very nice and professional at the hotel, ready to share a smile and a joke .

All in this hotel says you, that this family have this business a long time, and it`s perfect. All is perfect organized. Apartments was very clean. Room was be cleaned every day. We have a large balcon. Our little dog wasn`t be a problem. Breakfast was be nice, with good coffee and tasty traditional regional foods. Dinner is choosing one of three dishes. Sauna is including at price.
Hotel is perfect situated with direct exit to slope (about 10 meters). For skiing you need only wear ski at morning and you will be on the piste.
A lot of thanks to the young waiter was very attentive and caring, even though we weren't sitting at table he serviced.

Excellent hotel in a prime location near the Katschberg ski area. The property appears freshly renovated and is very tastefully furnished. We found the kitchen well-equipped and the beds exceptionally comfortable. The sauna and pool areas are amazing. A highlight was the convenience of the on-site shop, where we bought fresh bread and croissants every morning. Highly recommended!

Room is modern,comfortable and clean with spacious terrace.
Hosts are amazing! Hospitable as much as possible! Imy boyfrined celebrated his birthday and they prepare colorful baloons in the room. Such a nice attention.
We also used a sauna room,which is so lovely and private.

Great location on the slopes ski in-ski out. Lovely, comfortable apartment with kitchenette. Always clean and well maintained. Really appreciate the swimming pool and sauna. Our third visit - already have the next one booked.

St. Michael im Lungau is a lovely Alpine town with amazing mountain views and a really relaxed vibe. It’s easy to get to from the A10, and you’ll find everything you need there – shops, restaurants, and good access to nearby cable cars and hiking trails. A great base for exploring the Lungau region.

Rennweg is a beautiful village.
Rennweg is a beautiful village. It looks as if there is a garden competition going as most places have fabulous gardens and/or window boxes.
It is a quiet area but has good facilities with a supermarket and bakery nearby.
Our accommodation allowed us to cook our own meals but there were other options available.

I have no Idea, i was skiing all day, in the evening in...
I have no Idea, i was skiing all day, in the evening in restaurants outside Sankt Micheal, but I was only there 4 days, and had arrangements for apre-ski and restaurant visit with a group of 22 people arranged inside Katsberg-hohe,
I left Sankt Micheal, in the morning at 8:00 and returned in the evening after 20:00 to 21:00. Saw nothing of Sankt Micheal. But I am sure it is all there. It was my choice to stay there; and knew i was commuting up and down to "Katsberg-hohe" which is perfectly do-able, with the right car and no extreme weather. If the weather would not allow the 11 minute trip, you can always start skiing from St. Margareta, which is probably only needed on a hand-full of days per ski-season. and on top of katsberg-hohe, you can easily ski in surrounding ski-areas (Katsberg-hohe), Mautendorf, Gross-eck-Speier-Eck, or Aineck or "Obertauren". And "Obertauren" is only a 20 -to-25 minutes drive (if your willing to get into you're car) but hey it is was only (3) EUR on top the price of the local skipass to include "Obertauren": good value for money, close by, and it is "pretty snow sin the top (3) ski areas of Austria. Ad you are in a very tourist friendly pension for half the price as staying "Obertauren".

Rennweg ist located near to the ski area and highway. In the town are enough possibilities to do the shopping, have a dinner and summer and winter tourism. Within 45 minutes, you can reach some sauna and welness, more ski areas, other nice towns. If the weather in the mountains is not good, a visit of Spittal, Villach or Salzburg is possible by car.

Very good location.
Very good location. We go skiing in the Lungau region every year. Grosseck-Speireck, Aineck-Katschberg, Fanningberg and Obertauern are the quintessence of skiing on one ski pass, everyone will find something for themselves, from family descents with children, through moderately difficult scenic routes, to demanding routes for "knowledgeable" skiers. You can easily recommend this place for a ski trip.
