We have got exactly what we booked. The balcony was the biggest surprise for us with a wery lovely view. The bathroom is well equiped, everything was clean, the breakfast was not selfservice , but we have got everything we wanted to eat and also it was a great service and the breakfast was delicious. The garage is hard to approach but it's in the underground and also we felt our car in safe. The elevator is a great idea there.I would really recommend staying here. It's a lovely hotel, we felt like home.

The host, I believe called Niko, was very friendly and hospitable from the start and throughout our stay. He helped us find the hotel when our maps weren’t working and helped with bags and recommendations. We were provided with a welcome gift as it was our anniversary and this was a lovely touch, thank you so much! Everything was spotlessly clean and super comfortable, I believe freshly renovated. Rooms were modern but the building itself maintained traditional charm and it mixes the two together. Location 10/10. Set back off the Main Street overlooking the garden, it was serene. We had dinner in the garden restaurant one night too and the live music makes a great atmosphere. Breakfast was good too. Well worth the price paid and I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This apartment is located near the tourist area and a lively street with tourists, namely Rruga Kolë Andromeno, where there are many cafes and restaurants as well as places to hang out. Tourist spots like the Ebu Bakar Mosque, Marubi Gallery Museum and Mother Teresa Monument is just a walking distance from the place.The room is very clean and organized, has all the basic necessities. Very suitable for couples. The apartment host, Mr Nicola, is also a friendly person. He is always ready to help with anything we need.

We had a truly excellent stay at Hotel Porta e Alpeve. The rooms were very comfortable and spotless, and the facilities were modern and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and the dinners were just as good — a real highlight of our stay. The hotel also has a lovely playing area for children, which was a great addition for families. Above all, the staff were exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made the experience feel very special. It was the perfect mix of comfort, great food, family-friendly facilities, and outstanding hospitality. We would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Out of season there is really nothing to do in the city and...

Out of season there is really nothing to do in the city and we cam in the beginning of October. 95% of shops and restaurants are closed and kids have nothing to do int he are of the town. I believe that in the season this place is very lively, but we have not experienced that ourselves.

Five star service.

Five star service. The staff really makes you feel like family and goes above and beyond. The animals all contribute to the farm and are so well taken care of. They’re all a part of the experience. The rooms are impeccably clean and traditional with modern upgrades (best plumbing, great AC, hotel toiletries, great shower etc), clean, crisp white sheets. All of the things you’d expect in a five star hotel, except this feels more like your own home. Gzim and his wife are wonderful and provide help whenever you need advice for local restaurants or a ride nearby. Mrizi is literally 3-4 min max by foot. I preferred staying at Vitoria over Mrizi, and would return again. My son loved it! And Breakfast was wonderful!!

The Bahcallek neighborhood is located at the outskirts of...

The Bahcallek neighborhood is located at the outskirts of Shkodra city coming from Tirana. It is a nice area near the Drini river and Shkodra lake, full of nice green orchards and nice villas. It can be very good location for guests that want to share in local family life, visiting the surroundings, going to the Velipoja beach or hiking up at the mountain areas.

This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes.

This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes. The city’s diversity of people and cultural mix stood out strongly, and over the weekend the lively atmosphere of parties gave it an energetic spirit. What touched me most, however, were the Catholic churches scattered around the city. Stepping into them gave me a profound sense of spirituality and peace, balancing the vibrant social scene outside. Shkodra truly holds a unique charm – a place where culture, celebration, and spirituality come together beautifully.

It was the first time to be in Velipoje.

It was the first time to be in Velipoje. It's not a big city but I am positively surprised. The Velipoja beach (where we were placed) was clean, the water was so clear and warm. The kids part with the toys at the center of the city was excellent. The food was good tasted, fresh and the staff was very polite.

The hotel is close to the beach, which was great.

The hotel is close to the beach, which was great. The pool was small but clean, and my son really enjoyed it. Breakfast was OK, and there are small shops nearby, along with parking available. I would have rated this 5 stars if it weren't for one issue: the cooking utensils. If you plan to book an apartment, I recommend bringing your own cooking pans, or you’ll be disappointed.
