Genti was a great host, Although they state that cash is the required/preferred payment they allowed us to pay half by card to avoid taking money out with Tirana ATMs which have a 6 euro fee! He also kindly provided us with a free shuttle in the morning so we could get to the airport which we really appreciated as we forgot to request one in advance (our fault) but he still managed to sort us out! Thanks again! J&Y

Really nice hotel to stay, super clean, in an excellent location. The hotel is nicely decorated, , I was impressed with the beautiful wooden curved furniture and lampshades, it was a feeling like staying in a beautiful castle. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommend.

My stay at Aragosta Hotel in Durrës was a very pleasant experience, with several aspects worth highlighting. The hotel is conveniently located near the university where our meetings were held, which made transportation and time management much easier. We received a room upgrade upon arrival, but I must say that both the original and upgraded rooms were excellent—spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The cleanliness of the entire hotel was outstanding, and it was clear that great attention was given to hygiene. The staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Even a special request we made just a few hours before arrival was honored without any issues, which speaks volumes about their dedication to guest satisfaction. A major convenience was the hotel's private garage, where we parked our car without any hassle. Just like the rest of the hotel, the garage was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Overall, this hotel provided a fantastic experience, combining comfort, excellent service, and a great location. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Durrës, whether for business or leisure.

Great stay. The staff did everything as planned. Room decorated for 10th wedding anniversary perfectly. Room cleaned every day, towels and bedding changed as well.Spacious room, very comfortable bed. In the bathroom a bathtub with hydromassage.Lady at reception very nice and helpful. We were a few hours before check-in time and the room was ready within an hour. Hotel and Restaurant Staff Very Nice. They always talked to us, asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything we could call them. The location of the hotel is very good. There are many markets nearby. Food in the restaurant is delicious. Large selection. Drinks very good. Breakfast buffet, everyone will find something for themselves. I recommend this hotel.

The girl at the reception was very friendly. We were upgraded from a regular room to a sea view for free as it was not the high season and the sea view room was available. This was a nice and much appreciated surprise. There was also an exceptional willingness to help from the manager - the day before our flight we asked the reception to book us a taxi to the airport. The taxi didn’t arrive at the agreed time. They called for another which was meant to come in half an hour but also didn’t show up. Eventually, the hotel manager drove us to the airport in his own car and refused to take money for the ride!! We were traveling with kids and this was truly helpful.

really good and helpful staff. the breakfast and dinner here is crazy good, and the dinner prices are cheap! the location in maby not the best, but the hotel has 2 restaurants, a spa, 2 pools and everything else you need. we stayed for 2 days, and we had no reason to go in to the city when everything we needed was at the hotel. this hotel is perfect for a short stay if you just want to relax. but it’s also a good option if you wish to go into the city. the rooms and interior in this hotel is so nice and may be one of the best looking hotels we have visited! and if you love tennis, they have a tennis court ;)

Hotel is located in the second line from the beach, 2minutes walk. The hotel was clear, the stuff was helpful and the pool is the biggest attraction. The room was cleaned every day and we had very spacious place. The breakfast was every day the same but still you had a choice (eggs made 3 ways, ham, cheese, vegetables, marmalade, melon and watermelon, grapes and few kind of cakes. We also ate their paid dishes from the restaurant for dinner and was very tasty.

Durres is a nice relaxing place to stay, a lot of history.

Durres is a nice relaxing place to stay, a lot of history. plenty of shops, people were helpful, plenty of small bars most selling food at very reasonable prices. A walk along the beach is recommended where there are many restaurants with lots of variety. if travelling i would recommend taking a bus as taxis are rather expensive i.e. a bus from the airport will cost 7 euro whilst a taxi will cost around 37 euro.

The airport is small, clean, and has a nice modern facade. Check-in was straightforward, and the building itself looks pleasant. During departure it was extremely crowded and chaotic, with no free seating and little space to move around. My flight was delayed, which made the wait even less comfortable. Nice small airport in design, but easily overcrowded and uncomfortable during busy hours.

Krujë is a charming historic town with narrow streets, an old bazaar, and plenty of traditional Albanian restaurants. The Castle Museum and Ethnographic Museum are must-visits, there’s so much history to discover. Rain or shine, it’s worth exploring, and on clear days, head up to the shrine on the hills for a stunning view over the entire Krujë valley.

The beaches are awefull around Cape Rodon. Lot's of trash and garbage floating around the beaches and sea. Currently there are 2 newly built resorts (Saint Michelle Residence and Resort Arbeni) being demolished for unknown reasons. Our first booked accomodation let us know that they had to cancel our booking due to Albanian new legislation (Piceri Rodoni). In my opinion it is better to stay at the beaches of Dürres and visit the cape as half a day trip. But if you want to have a non-active holiday, Rodoni resort is the best place you could imagine to stay.

We had to drive, but it wasn't a problem for us. We discovered some really nice local bars and restaurants. Duka Wine Estate is definitely recommended, just a 10-minute drive away! Lej & Laj, we'll definitely be back!

This is perfect for its purpose!

This is perfect for its purpose! A clean, comfy bed to catch some sleep before a flight. We could return our car, walk to Rinas to sleep and walk to the airport in the early morning. It worked out perfectly. Safe, clean & our bed was actually the most comfortable we had in our 2 weeks in Albania.

Kruje is charming and small.

Kruje is charming and small. You don't need more than half a day to walk through bazaar and explore the castle views and museums. You could stay longer if you are planning to do hikes in the area which we didn't have time for. It is a charming small town with great views and a nice bazaar.

Very beautiful beach, clean air surrounded by pine trees, family oriented, a lot of fresh and testy quality local food. Outstanding sunrise and sunset. The best I have ever seen so far. I would recommend to have options of water activities for the families and the kids even though there is plenty of ground activities available.

I loved our stay here.

I loved our stay here. The beach is great - clean, not too busy as locals go there and only 1 or 2 hotels on the coast, so not overloaded by tourists like some European destinations. Beautiful beach, warm sea. Just perfect.
