ItalyAt this peaceful place, with Shawn (and his marvelous children), Junior, Shanta and Jahkim, we found a home far from home.
Just the view was enough to just stay there and breathe.
The room we stayed in was large and bright, with a little terrace with a table and two chairs and the same terrific view as the bar and the restaurant.
At the beginning we were taken aback from the lack of a door in the bathroom (only a curtain to separate it from the bedroom) but it was easily forgotten as we went on with the vacation and we found ourselves more relaxed.
It is a place where you can talk to other guests, where you can ask for a coffee at 7 in the morning (even if the breakfast is from9) and it will be given to you with a smile, where you can ask for the eggs just like you want them (my friend appreciated very much the ‘jiggle jiggle eggs’) and they will be as happy as you when the result is what you asked for.
We couldn't ask for better hosts.
The food was excellent, especially when we gave Junior and Shanta free rein on what to cook: fish and chicken a little spicy, the glazed pork… everything was really good.
Shawn is always there if you ask for advice or a taxi or whatever it is that you need and Jahkim will tailor the perfect cocktail just for you.
We really had the best time.
There is a little hill to reach the rooms from the street and the bar.
There is only a street to cross to reach the beach.. and what a beach it is!

If you like more interaction with other guests then the garden rooms or newer beach front rooms on the other end which were nice also would provide that. Outdoor shower and plunge pool were amazing. We had a room in a garden with a patio, the room was big enough, clean and if it wasn’t for the mosquitos we could have slept outside because the patio at night was really relaxing.
The staff was adorable and really helpful.
Both restaurants were amazing, and the highlight was the tiny boat trip to go or come back from the pool, mostly at sunset hours.

They were charming, always smiling and very professional. The room was very spacious and comfortable; the pool was small but lovely; the view over the marina, whilst not the beachside tropical paradise one might have hoped for, was nevertheless interetsing to watch and still great. The breakfasts were superb and the dinner we had one night also excellent. The location, within very easy walking distance of Nelson's Dockyard, numerous restaurants and bars, the vibrant beach of Pigeon Point, was ideal. In summary, the hotel was exceptional.

Beautiful resort located next to one of the best beaches on the island. Beach is never crowded and have enough towels, umbrellas and sunbeds for guests. Drinks and food from the bar menu are served at the beach.
All suites and villas are more/less on the hill but the view compensates for the climbing effort. Our suite was well furnished, clean, with the stunning sea view.
We liked the food in Wilde Tamarind restorant, menu was not extensive but meals were tasty and well presented, on couple of days and evenings they offered special menu. We also loved the view from the breakfast restaurant ( and breakfast options).
Staff was positive and responsive to our requests, on occassion we had to wait a bit longer to be served but that did not bother us.
It was easy to organise tours to different parts of the island, resort is 7mins drive to Jolly Harbour, 20mins to Fig Tree Drive and 30-40mins to Shirley Lookout, English Harbour, St. John's.
Overall atmosphere throughout resort is very calm and relaxing, 100% to our taste.

EVERYTHING was perfect!!! We had the best time here at south coast horizon. Our room was very nice with a big terrace where we had all our breakfasts. If you are an animal lover, you might enjoy the company of a very precious cat named Nala, an orange cat very cute and friendly. Overall, we had a great experience, and we hope to come back to Antigua and the South Coast horizon soon. There are stunning beaches nearby too, our favourite is 3 min car close named Morris bay where you can also snorkel and get a delicious grilled chicken for lunch. South Coast Horizon also has a nice pool we chilled at one afternoon, and we saw a beautiful sunset. The room had AC, and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning was perfect and we loved each second of our holiday and stay. Thank you.
Finally they organise very nice tours!
We really liked Nala, the orange cat. If you can, take care of Nala with some food and treats ❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic. Amazing facilities, lovely food, kind staff, beautiful scenery, 10/10. We are here in the low season (July) so it's pretty quiet and not all the facilities are open, but it means there are no queues and nothing ever feels busy. The beaches are beautiful, the array of watersports is really generous, even though it's low season - the kids went kayaking and peddle boating, and Ken took us out on the Hobiecat a couple of times, which was a lot of fun. Pools are beautifully kept and a lovely temperature, and the kids particularly love the smoothies from the poolside bars. The buffet breakfasts and dinners are always high quality with good variation, then the a la carte lunches are things like nachos, sandwiches and fries, plus a salad buffet. All the staff are so kind and friendly, they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome, it's wonderful.

The location was lovely and exited straight out onto the beach which it shared with the neighbouring boutique hotel. There were enough sunbeds for every guest and you could eat and drink at the Salt Plage/Starfish restaurant and bar located on the shared beach.😁
Had great fun watching the birds come to the orchids, bougainvillea and bird feeders. Hummingbirds almost too fast for a picture!.

Beautiful location. Perfect staff - friendly, helpful, polite. Hotel grounds very well kept and had some beautiful shrubs and trees. Food was great particularly at The Cove Restaurant.

I love the Ocean view from my room, love the Oxstail dinner from the Jamaican restaurant, love the Pool, and love how a couple of the staff was so wonderful and caring towards the guest. One staff stood out, Jenin, she really made our trip to not be a total lost. The excursion was nice, Flava was very knowledgeable and the lunch prepared was great. I love my housekeeper, she really did a great job in keeping the room clean. My bed Sheets had stains when I got there, the Curtains to the Balcony had blood stains on it, the housekeeper, Yeraldan changes the sheets before I could ask her to. That was on point. I do not like how most of the Hotel staff was rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional, they needed some training on how to talk to and care for your guest. I do not like how you were assigned a Butler but did not get the help you requested from your Butler, not one visit to the room, it sounds nice but there were not one there for you. We got a pre written WhatsApp's message, once in the morning and one at night. I did not like the quality of the food, not good at all and not enough variety, did not like that they ran out of beach towels around 5:30 pm when I wanted to go to the beach. Even thought the Birds are wonderful to see, I definitely did not like the Birds flying and landing on the Table while you eat your meal trying to get them something to eat, also they landed on the utensils before guest comes in to eat. Not good at all. Overall, I could have made the food work, and everything else, but the behavior of the staff was unbelievable and unacceptable. Never again and if your Hotel does not train your staff, you could loose out on guest coming to your property.

Super! We stayed in the heart of the historic Nelson’s Dockyard, really interesting, lovely old buildings, surrounded by the sea and yachts. We walked to Pigeon Point beach and spent the day at Cathrine’s cafe. We hired sunbeds and had drinks and lunch. Food excellent. We ate dinner at the Admiral’s Inn on a waterside table which was lovely. Food and service very good in beautiful surroundings. We did the Shirley Heights Sunday party, which was initially a bit overwhelming, crowded, noisy and smoky with huge queues for food and drink, but once we got the measure of it, had a great time. The sunset and view was amazing, the band were excellent and when we eventually got food (late after the crowds) it was good.

4 beaches and a pool to choose from. Great menu all day at the buffet. No crowding. Friendly staff. Beautiful views. Snorkeling and water sports options available but you may want to bring your personal snorkel gear as the resort's equipment may need to be updated. Only one beer option on drinks list.

Excellent location with great sunbathing swimming options. You can watch the pelicans swooping and diving all day. Super chalets with very comfy beds. Plunge pool a lovely option for a refreshing dip. Wonderful staff and lovely dining. Food options varied and catered to all needs. I really had no complaints - it’s fantastic value for money.

The place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The scenery is stunning, and everything inside is new & fully renovated. It’s tucked away up a very steep hill, which makes for incredible views and a real sense of privacy. As a single female traveler, i felt safe. The host met me to show me how to get in and she was very nice! The perfect place to unwind, connect with nature, and take it all in. Highly recommended. Everything was as described in the listing!

We love the fact that we could vacation on three (3) islands in one trip.
A rental car gives you much more flexibility if you want to venture out; however, if we didn't get a rental car there's enough to do with the plunge pool and venturing around the property and sitting out on 3 of the 4 lower deck areas.
The Wednesday BBQ was fun, and the food was incredibly good with a large variety.

The harbour is in a very beautiful position . very yachty and probably more of interest to people who love to see boats or who are joining a boat or on a boat. There is a nice beach Jolly Beach close by. THere is a well stocked supermarket but be warned Antigua prices are more expensive than either British or American prices as the island has to import almost everything.
There is a new reosrt being built by Jolly Harbour and I believe the mall is going to be rebuilt too. Lots of nice restaurants in the locality. There is also a local bus service to St John's and it's easy to get a taxi
