The house had a lovely courtyard with a pool to cool off in. You can also use the kitchen which has a good range of modern appliances. The artwork around the house was varied and interesting. It is also only a five minute walk from the airport which was handy for our flight to Lima. Although it would seem inconvenient for the city, we felt that it was better to pay a few Soles for the mototaxi to get into town and also have the entertainment of the ride through the traffic. It was worth the 20 minute ride to get to this haven of tranquility.

The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!

Such a lovely hotel with amazing service and food. We stayed for 4 nights and could not have been happier and better cared for. Great room and bed, super breakfast, a beautiful garden and pool. Just 5 minutes by mototaxi from the center. The owner is an amazing person, highly recommend this place!

The breakfast was great and they had tuk tuks available to get back to the airport. Only complaint was that the shower wasn’t super hot.
