The activities schedule was packed from bingo to volleyball, yoga and more. Kayaks, stand-up paddle whenever you want. The scuba diving course was fantastic and our instructor was great. All the staff were super friendly and nice. Bar staff very helpful, offered great recommendations. Marine life was great - we saw stingrays, small sharks, a turtle. Food as fabulous!! Delicious everywhere, and the booking system was fine too. Riu app was very useful.

Featuring a restaurant, the property also has a private beach area, as well as a sauna and a hammam. The accommodation features nightclub and a 24-hour front desk. The staff are the best, all very kind and friendly! They are always aware so when you need something they already have it, super helpful all the time! The room was very good, good space, very clean but they don't have any amenities in the room (I think you can ask them, but I didn't need). The hotel has a phone app that helps a lot, it has all the information. The food is very good, a lot of options every day and you can get a drink easily during the day. They also have a lot of activities that you can take for free and all the infrastructure is very good.

All the units at the resort come with private pools. The rooms have a private bathroom with a bath. All units in Sun Siyam Iru Veli - Premium All Inclusive are equipped with a flat-screen TV and free toiletries. A very good holiday experience in all aspects. From landing in Male Airport, every employee makes sure that you are accompanied all the way to your room in the resort. The rooms are clean, big and you can find everything that you may need in the amenities kit. The resort itself is ran by very kind employees who always strike a friendly conversation and gives pertinent advices about the resort. The food in buffet is varied with meals in various cultures as well as few staple foods such as pasta, grilled chicken/beef/seafood and rice if you want to go for "safe" foods. The ocean side happened to be very windy during our stay but the south side of the lagoon has riptides and provides a very nice snorkeling experience with its local reefs with shallow or deeper water. Possible to see a lot of butterfly fish, surgeon fish and some baby black-tip reef sharks if you're lucky ;). A warm thanks to our ambassador Fatima who scheduled every activity for us and always made sure we were up to date in our informations. Another thanks to Cherry, Azeem and Ruwan in Aqua Orange welcoming us very warmly at every meal time and taking our orders at very timely manner ; Monika in Chemistry bar as well! Shoutout to Ravinder, our room keeper, for his very cool towel statues that welcomes us into the room. He also made sure the room was sparkling clean despite it being a beach villa and very prone to the sand ; another one to Sajib for the keeping of our ocean room. Thanks to Ambika, Ayu and Mala in the spa for the superb massage that relaxed the swimming tired muscles.

The Siyam Restaurant serves an international buffet breakfast, while Well Done Restaurant offers an à la carte menu of fresh seafood and local dishes. Drinks can be enjoyed at the Nautilus Bar, pool Bar and the wine cellar. A true piece of heaven.... from the facilities and lush greenery to the staff that were truly exceptional in every aspect. Have not seen a better team anywhere in the world. Best service we have ever had anywhere. We met guests that have been to this resort 40+ times and I can understand why.

A beachfront property, Angsana Velavaru offers 3 restaurants with water villas and private pools on Velavaru Island (Turtle Island). It is a 45-minute Seaplane ride from Malé International Airport. Angsana Velavaru is a family friendly resort, and has an indoor and outdoor kids’ club, which offers a wide variety of activities including babysitting services. It was our first time traveling to Maldives, so cannot compare this hotel to others, but the whole experience was terrific! If you stay in one of the In-Ocean rooms, you are basically staying in the middle of an enormous exotic aquarium. Any time you desire, you just jump into the water and see all kinds of marine life, including turtles, stingrays, baby sharks, octopuses, and all kinds of fish! We even watched a group of dolphins swim around the reef. The room we stayed in was huge, which made us feel like we could stay in the room our entire trip without feeling the need to go out. The staff was great, but we stayed here during Ramadan, which was extra tough on them, having to fast. Also, there is a baseline difference between hospitality in the US and Maldives; having said that I think they did a decent job. The food options were good, but not particularly memorable.

The resort feels freshly renovated, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. The island itself is quite large, offering many restaurant options, plenty of activities, and a great sense of space and privacy. We came mainly for surfing, and our instructor Kayle was beyond amazing. In just three days, I was confidently standing on the board and riding waves. He is extremely professional, has incredible energy, and creates such a positive atmosphere. You can’t help but feel his genuine love for surfing and the ocean — it truly transforms the whole experience. Surf trips with him were an absolute highlight. Our butler Albina was also exceptional — incredibly sweet, attentive, and always quick to arrange anything we needed. She truly cares about guests and has a natural sensibility for hospitality. You feel understood and well taken care of. Overall, Niyama exceeded our expectations, and we left with only beautiful memories. Can not wait to come back.
