Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance. Yakaduru is renowned for its architecture and tourism, where guest can stay in properties built by Mud and palm thatched roofing. This is an amazing experience not to be missed if you are the adventurous type, but still like creature comforts. There are only 6 cabins in a wonderland setting near the Park. A nice pool for dipping in after your safari is great. But the highlight is the staff. From Nissantha, Sumudu and ALL the staff you will get a warm welcome and friendly service. Their passion for the environment is wonderful and as a bonus, the food is excellent traditional Sri Lankan. This was one of the biggest pleasant surprises on our trip. We will be back and highly recommend it if visiting Yala Park!

I left some items at the hotel and they helped me organize the transport of those items to my next location. I really appreciated that 🙏🏼 the property is humble but very clean, orderly and nice.

I am so glad I booked into Leopard Reach as my base for the Yala National Park because I had a truly unforgettable taste of luxury in the jungle. I loved it so much, I stayed two nights. This is a truly special place, with only a few tent-lodges. In fact, I was the only guest on the property, and was treated like a queen. The interior of my room was top quality, with all amenities. And the private mini pool on the terrace was extremely welcome. On both nights I had an exceptional dinner; the first night consisted of a Sri Lankan curry with so many lovely dishes, and the second was an al fresco BBQ, prepared just for me. Breakfast was served on my private terrace. I cannot speak highly enough of Fonseka, the General Manager (the quintessential host) and his trusty team of Randika (what a great guy), Lakruwan (who makes the place run like clockwork) and Kasun (the Chef). Friendly and accommodating to requests. Half hour to the national park, we did a safari organised through the hotel. They provided us with cold water and some biscuits for the morning.
