The property is located about 5 - 10 minutes from the Wilpattu park entrance which not only means you can easily book a safari but you also experience some incredible wild life just steps outside your door. We cannot praise the staff enough. Everyone we spoke with was so nice and so accommodating. It’s very clear that the folks at Wild Wadi are very passionate about animals, the environment and sharing all of their knowledge with their guests. We had breakfast and dinner at Wild Wadi each night. We had traditional Sri Lankan meals and it was some of the best food we had so far on our trip. We would highly recommend booking at Wild Wadi if you are visiting Wilpattu - such an incredible experience! We will be back!

Situated in Wilpattu, 31 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank, Thimbiri Wewa Resort Wilpattu features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a concierge service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Some rooms at the property have a balcony with a river view. We stayed for one night and we did an early morning safari for which the hotel provided us with an exceptional service. The rooms are clean, comfy and the bathrooms are spacious. The aircon is icy cold and the pool area is awesome, beautiful views from the pool and can enjoy the sunset there. The hotel can help with the safari booking, and they provide a complete breakfast packed into a box for the guests to take on the safari and eat during. The staff were very attentive, they provided us with water bottles on request and modified the food to suit our needs upon request. There is a wonderful restaurant attached to the hotel from which the food was great, there is varied options including western and traditional foods.

Amazingly quiet and peaceful surroundings, super friendly, helpful and attentive staff; nice and big rooms, great food!

We had a fantastic stay at the Leopard Inn, the manager Prathap was ever so friendly, a great guy, always smiling and willing to help. He organized a halfday safari in the National Park Wilpattu and later a boat safari in the lagune and in the mangroves of the Park, it was great. Prathap explained us about the animals and trees on the resort. If you ever in the area, stay at the Leopard Inn !
