Located in Miyajima, 2.6 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach, LiVEMAX RESORT Aki Miyajima offers accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. This 3-star ryokan offers a lift and full-day security. The ryokan provides an outdoor swimming pool, sauna and a 24-hour front desk. Accommodation for disabled guests is also available at the property. We stayed in the deluxe room with a private onsen (spa bath). The setup of the room was fantastic with a small shower before the onsen to quickly hop in and out of the bath throughout the day. The location is a 5 minute walk from the water which means it's nice and quiet away from the bars. It's also a short walk to the Itsukushima Jinja. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both were fantastic all you can eat buffets and with our room we had a special hot plate of abalone and vegetables cooked at our table which was delicious. The onsen was already being filled by the time we got to our room and operated without issue while we were there. Room had plenty of amenities and the drinks in the mini bar were all complimentary. There are plenty of good places to eat near by and a convince store within the hotel. I'm unsure why this place has as low of a rating as it does. It was a fantastic stay and I wished we stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay. Super location, closed to the Tori and the aquarium. Comfortable big room, with tatami. The breakfast and dinner ere amazing! They welcomed us with a cup of macha tea, and provided us with yukata to wear. The bath are also superb, both private and public pools. The private bath has an wonderful view of the beach side

Loved the kimono robe that you could wear around the hotel and to breakfast.. The onsens were great especially the outdoor private one that overlooked the water. . The free shuttle service was perfect for getting you to the ferry for Miyajima.and the train station. Staff were fantastic. Rooms were very clean and a nice size. Loved having the balcony to sit out on in the evenings.

Amazing traditional Japanese style accommodation in a beautiful place. The staff set up our futon beds for us while we were out enjoying the sites. There was an indoor and outdoor onsen, I really enjoyed the outdoor one on the cold night. The staff were friendly and nice. All round amazing experience.

Room and view were excellent, shuttle service from Station was good. Certainly a grand sized hotel which looks like an 80's design, not sure when it was built. We visited in November and i guess the outside facilities, pool etc will be open and be more appealing in the summer.

The hotel is old style but charming. The views from the water side rooms are spectacular so I highly recommend booking an ocean view room. In fact you can see the famous floating torii from the room but also from the fabulous outdoor deck. The sunrise was gorgeous. I appreciated the minibus that takes you directly to the station (and ferry to Miyajima island). I also recommend the excellent evening boat cruise to see the Torii at night. A truly magnificent sight.

Wonderful facilities, GORGEOUS outdoor/indoor onsen with beautiful views, EXCELLENT food, and wonderful service! The dinner was out of this world. It’s very close to the trailhead to hike Mt Misen, which you should definitely do. We left some things behind accidentally and the staff immediately forwarded them on to our next hotel, and called the hotel to arrange the details. Top notch in every way!
