However, I was impressed by the level of thought that went into every facet of our stay, from the room's views to the design touches, furnishings, and standard amenities. The food in general was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was especially exceptional. There was a variety of Japanese, Chinese, and Continental/American style items, but the quality of the local Hokkaido produce and ingredients put it over the top. We ate at two restaurants, an Italian and Japanese grill, as well as the Lobby dining area. All three were fantastic. Their pool and Onsen were modern, spotless, and had plenty of towels (a pet peeve). The service was remarkable as well. Any issues we encountered were dealt with immediately and without any pushback.

Although the buffet breakfast was delicious (one of the best we had during one month travelling around Japan), it was outshadowed by the stellar buffet dinner. Delicious sashimi and a lot of other Japanese food to choose from. It was the single best buffet dinner of any hotel we stayed. The onsen is huge. It can get quite crowded, but is still pleasant.

Free WiFi is available in all guest rooms. Very cheap with great amenities and friendly and helpful staff. Loved the sento. Bathing outdoors in the snow is fantastic. Clean and organized rooms with everything you need. Fresh towels and yukata every day.

The hotel is a 25-minute drive from JR Biei Station. Shirahige Waterfall is a 5-minute drive from the property. Very neat and clean. Front desk staff were friendly.

All the staffs were kind and considerate. Dinner buffet was excellent. Suite room was spacious. Shuttle bus was punctual.
