This property was not too difficult to find, using GPS. It was almost dark when I arrived. The room I had was great and the included breakfast was very good with a pretty good selection of food to choose from. Parking is secure with a locked gate, 24 hours a day. I would recommend this property and if I ever return to Paestum, I would stay here again.

Set on a hillside 2 km from the centre of Sorrento, Hotel La Badia offers an outdoor swimming pool, air-conditioned accommodation and a terrace with panoramic views of the Bay of Naples. This hotel, without previously knowing me, helped me arrange a special request I will forever be grateful for! Besides, the hotel is very enchanting, elegant, and authentic, reminiscent of rustic Italian haciendas, with many terraces full of plants offering sea views (even breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace directly overlooking the sea) and beautiful gardens all around the property; it's practically an estate. You need to be there to fully experience the vibe, but it is on par with much more expensive accommodations you can find in Tuscany, for example. Our room was cute with a direct view of the sea, Mount Vesuvius, and the Sorrento coastline. Everybody from the staff was incredibly hospitable, dedicated and pleasant. This could be a luxurious 5-star hotel with certain upgrades, but I think it's better to stay exactly as it is, offering authentic experience at a reasonable price.

The hotel is located in the center, close to the train station and easy to reach the port. The room is cleaned daily and the breakfast was ok. Wonderful place in an amazing location. The room was very nice, spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean. We had breakfast on the terrace outside overlooking the beautiful surroundings. The host was just wonderful to talk to, he gave us many suggestions for where to eat and what to visit in the area. We had a great experience and would highly recommend.
