The hotel is 75 km from Egilsstaðir, 40 km from Hengifoss and 24 km from Snæfellskáli. Laugarfell is the start of the waterfall circle hike.
The staff were so friendly and personable. Very clean facilities. The hot pools were amazing, especially after a long day of hiking. Loved the isolated surroundings as well. Very relaxing and secluded.

Extremely helpful staff, absolutely tasty, rich and varied breakfast buffet, very comfortable beds, newly renovated room, tasty dinner, everything was great from A to Z. They even provided free access to a nearby swimming pool as well as very affordable (400 ISK) access to a top-notch gym in the swimming pool facility. Thank you again for everything!

Cozy accommodation in a beautiful location, the scenery from this town is stunning! Staff very nice. Breakfast was nice, not too many options but everything I tried was nice. Restaurant fabulous; we had the falafel and fish stew and it was great, very busy place. The spa is very nice, has a great Finnish sauna with a beautiful view and the outside area has 3 hot tubs/pools and a cold one (bit raw but that fits the place). Common kitchen well equipped. Beds ok.

Our server at the only restaurant in the village, who also checked us in at reception a few hours before was so friendly and accommodating. He told us where to go, such as the local swimming pool and where to posilbilly see the best aurora. And we found it 😀 Food was beautifully delicious!

A nice little town. The location of the hotel with the view to the fjord is absolutely wonderful. Restaurants, bakery/cafe´ and a grocery store is just a couple to 100m away. You can use the swimming pool nearby free of cost. Pretty quite eventhough located on the main road.
