The 150 acres of private grounds include sandy beaches, lakes, scenic woodlands and tennis courts. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, croquet lawn and clay pigeon shooting facilities. Remote, wild location and charming character property. Magnificent breakfast, I had the plaice, lovely fresh fish delicately cooked. Plenty of rooms in which to sit with comfortable furniture, from sunny conservatory to warm by the fire.

Some units have a seating area for guests to unwind while enjoying views of the bay or garden. Certain units include views of the mountain or pool. Every room has a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find bathrobes and slippers. We particularly liked the dining room and the view. We have sent several of our guests to Screebe House and they have not been disappointed.

On the site of the former Clifden Railway Station, Clifden Station House offers well-appointed bedrooms and self-catering apartments. There is a pool and Connemara National Park is a 15-minute drive.

Indulge in one of the many beauty treatments at the Renew Spa, unwind in the Swedish steam room or relax in the hot tub. There is also a gym and stunning coastal walks are just 3 miles away. What a great place to stay. Good food and lovely friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is fab - really enjoyed the pool. Parking really great and the live music in the station house was good - will definitely be back. Well done everyone
