Staff were very friendly and the hotel is well located for attractions. 24 hour reception very helpful. Travelling with husband and three daughters. Short walk to Jalan Maliboro and within walking distance of sultan palace. Tea and water in reception nice touch and breakfast good. The super friendly staff make this a great place to stay.

This hostel is a small gem Yogyakarta. The staff is always willing to help with a smile on their face, the breakfast is delicious and the dormitory is very comfortable. The staff were AMAZING!! Anything we needed they were so quick to help, the manager personally took us to Jummah prayer. I lost an earring and needed a police report for insurance and the wonderful head of security escorted me to the police station and helped me with the process. The room was beautiful and nice and clean, the housekeeping staff were so lovely and friendly. Breakfast was varied each day and really good quality so we highly enjoyed it each day. The pool is an infinity rooftop pool and again it was a lovely space to unwind and hang out and the pool is one of the longest I've seen so it's perfect for lengths Had an amazing Christmas stay so would definitely pick the Manohara again next time we visit Yogyakarta!

I usually wait to leave a review till after leave but keep extending)))). First when you walk in there is just very impressive artwork (talented Japanese artist mostly). Then the room - I booked a normal room but it was bigger actually 3-4 times bigger than a new york hotel room. just huge with huge couch. Then Pash (hope spell correct) was just super nice and helpful in every way. I didnt use the pool but it just done so well. I rarely leave reviews and only when I'm overly impressed with the value for price. Stayed in hotels and airbnb over 500 days straight days and this hits the Price Value top 5%. You can spend $500 a night and regret it or 20% of the Price and sleep just as well and enjoy. They hit the price value on spot.

Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Absolutely loved this hotel. Great value for money. The rooms are spacious, beds are ultra comfortable and the location is quite close to many bars and restaurants. The breakfast was wonderful with many different options every day - one of the best breakfasts I had in Indonesia. The shower was warm and nice. Also want to mention the hotel staff - everybody is wonderful starting from reception people ending with room service personnel. Thanks for making our stay in Jogja :).
