The pool was clean and water in it just the right temperature to relax after a hot day. We spent most of the evening there. The room is really spacious, much larger then any of the other places we stayed in Guatemala. Food at the restaurant was quite good. We also got the guided Semuc Champey tour and it was AWESOME. The guide showed us places we wouldn't have found on our own and generally catered to our preferences (we are an adventurous bunch so he showed us tons of places to jump from cliffs and other fun stuff).

Because I’m 73 years old they gave me a single room instead of a bed in a dorm like I had requested. But I didn’t pay any more for the room! They were concerned for me.
