It connects straight onto a beach and is a short taxi ride to Rethymno core town, or you can have a 30minute stroll down the strand (all the way along the beach). As we expected from Greek cuisine, the food was fantastic, but what made it better was all the options we had during breakfast and dinner time - ranging from savory, both for meat lovers and vegans to sweet (those strawberry tarts were insanely good) a lot of variation every day. We were there for 10 days and never got bored with the food (actually gained some nice sea-vacation weight :D ) The hotel has a modern design, which might for some things be limiting, but it s nothing that the hotel's staff cannot take care for you, so you can have the best holiday stay! The catering is professional and amazing, from the hotel area to the double pool area and straight down to the beach. You can lie down comfortably in sunbeds, get your cocktails served directly to you and enjoy the sun and seaairwithout moving a finger, and have your perfectly deserved lazy vacation. Speaking of Sun, Rhetymno must have some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world - don't miss out on sitting at the beach in the evening, with a glass of vine at your side and enjoy the sun setting in. Even though the hotel itself is some way from both of the airports - hotel can organize a pick up/drop off ride for you or it is easy as well to book a taxi online with many respectible services.

The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. We stayed in this hotel with my wife and our one-year-old for 3 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They would always greet us with a smile and ask if everything was ok. They even offered us vouchers for free drinks at the hotel's bar during check-in. The bedroom was very spacious, modern and clean. The cleaners even folded our clothes. We had asked for a baby cot, and even with that, we had plenty of space in the room. The mini bar in the room was free, and there were water bottles, soft drinks, a small wine, and coffee and tea. We didn't get a chance to dive into the pool, but we did relax for a while at the pool's sunbeds, which were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and every day, they even had a new addition. It was a 10-minute walk from the old city center so we didn't even have to move our car. There is private parking in the basement of the hotel, but the spots are limited, and you have to book in advance. We were not aware, but there were plenty of free parking spots on the streets around the hotel.

The location is perfect - nearby to The Old town and close to one of the beaches there. The atmosphere is very cozy, you feel like you are at home. I met a lot of people from all over the world. The staff was very friendly. I will come back. I highly recommend it.

Just 50 metres from the beach and 1 km from Rethymno Town, Archipelagos Hotel is set on a hillside with panoramic views over the Cretan Sea and the Venetian Castle. Facilities include an outdoor communal pool and private pools, a pool bar and free WiFi. This is an exceptional hotel within walking distance to the old town (10 minutes), beach front located, with a very nice swimming pool area. My room was on the 9th floor with a stunning view to the sea and to the Fortress and access to another small swimming pool located on the 8th floor. The position of the hotel is allowing you to see the sunrise as well as the sunset, which is really fantastic. The room was modern, spotless, with daily cleaning, the bed was comfy and the internet worked very well. The breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choices and a very good expresso. The staff was very friendly and professional and Mr. Stelios was always there to provide support, to make sure everybody is enjoying the stay and having a great experience not only in the premises of the hotel, but in Rethymno and in Crete. Featuring a restaurant and a pool with sun terrace amidst its palm-tree garden, Royal Sun lies within 3 km from the centre of Chania Town. It offers air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi and a private balcony overlooking the Cretan Sea and the town. Modern hotel with clean rooms and well-maintained bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent, offering panoramic views of Chania from the dining area. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a non-alcoholic drink. The free hotel shuttle is very convenient (just coordinate the time with the host). The property also features a nice outdoor pool and a useful self-service laundry, free except for detergent capsules.
