With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Everything was excellent , the setting and proximity to the town. The room and bathroom were spacious, well decorated and clean. Breakfast was first class. A very enjoyable experience and will stay again next year when in the area

A very warm welcome into a stunning period building. Ample parking right outside. Very spacious room, with comfortable bed and sofa. The bathroom is also spacious and well equipped with a bath and separate shower. The toiletries were lovely. A good sized mini fridge was a bonus, alongside a good TV. The pre order breakfast option delivered to your room worked great, especially travelling with our dog! Hotel very walkable to local pubs and eateries. Would recommend for a stay in Ambleside.

The leisure spa at The Quaysiders Lakes Resort - Quaysiders Club has a small heated pool, a sauna and showers. There is also a barbecue area and laundry facilities available. We had side by side rooms to fit our family of 5. The rooms were well equipped with dishes. We also appreciated the extra seating so that we could all hang out in the larger room to watch a movie. The location was great. Easy walk to a Roman Fort, the lakefront, pubs, and also walkable into Ambleside. Our kids loved the hot tub. Staff were friendly.

There is free access to an off-site health club, located 2 miles from St John's Lodge. This provides free access to a swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and fitness classes for all guests during their stay, including on check out day. The breakfast was excellent lots of gluten free options. Rich the host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Lake District . He always had time for you to chat about the best restaurants etc .Very enjoyable stay definitely stay again. Rooms very comfortable clean . The place is situated in a perfect spot right in the middle of Windermere.
