Staff was very friendly, caring; looked after us as you would do for dear family; true to the welcoming words on our arrival - welcome to our family! Idillic island life! Peaceful!! Lots of time and space to relax!! Snorkelling on the garden reef was out of this world!! I would imagine that is what the Garden of Eden must have looked like; breathtaking. We booked dinner at Lako Mai Restaurant; quiet, experienced beautiful sunset while listening to the sea rolling backwards and forwards, music to one’s ears, no man made music needed at all!! Thank you we enjoyed a piece of paradise at the Tropica!

The air-conditioned villas feature wooden floors and a private outdoor shower. Each villa has day beds and hammocks to relax in. All villas also feature a private pool. Everything, the staff in the hotel treated us like part of their family, never felt so at home.

The air-conditioned rooms all come with an iPod dock and flat-screen TV with cable channels including Chinese language channels. Each has a patio fitted with sun loungers and some have a private plunge pool. Chinese tea, slippers and a dental kit are available upon request. We loved it here, the staff were amazing. We enjoyed the activites on offer and were also told of a walk we could do. I could rave about this place and would highly recommend it to anyone.

A variety of accommodation is available including Garden, Lagoon & Beach Bures plus Two Bedroom Villas. All accommodation is located alongside the lagoon or white sandy beach or set in secluded gardens Apart from its absolutely stunning location, our Musket Cove experience was absolutely amazing! The villa was clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of 5. We loved Dick’s restaurant; food was delicious and the service, top-notch! The kids enjoyed the pool and the other water activities! Having the kids movie night provided a good break for the adults to just enjoy the serenading from the band. The ‘Welcome’ to the hotel was outstanding; from the welcome song to the juice and the necklaces. But the main winner of the property remains the STAFF - friendly, accommodating, thoughtful!! Absolutely outstanding service from everyone we met and we would come back to the property just because of the friendly staff!!

Guests also enjoy a hot tub, tennis courts and a day spa. A very authentic experience with wonderfully friendly, happy and smiling staff. The food was incredible and the nightly dinner buffet had great variety as well as live cooking which was always really delicious. Nice, clean pool areas and amazing snorkelling just off the beach. The outdoor showers were gorgeous!

The typical ‘Bure’ bungalows of the Plantation Island Resort combine a traditional Polynesian décor with modern furnishings. Amenities include private bathrooms, air conditioning and a deck. Everything about Plantation is amazing. The best family resort - so much for the kids to do! ( I read 4 entire novels - I can't remember the last time I has enough alone time to do that!). Definitely recommend hiring bikes to get around. The kids loved all the kids club activities - they can opt in and out depending on what they are interested in. They LOVED the new jungle water park. The staff are wonderful - especially Nenisa (sp?) at the Ocean bar learning my name and favourite order from the first day hahaha. The wonderful kids club team and the staff at the Black Coral restaurant especially delivering great service. The Polynesian night show was a highlight as well as the activities for adults such as the cooking classes. Great family sized rooms. We will definitely be back!
