We liked that this property was on the other side of the river in a quieter section of town. We ended up with great views of fireworks from the windows! Breakfast in the neighborhood café below was basically croissant or toast and coffee; it was fine, enough to get going on. It's only a short walk into the center of town so we enjoyed the festival and could also enjoy relaxing and having a good night's sleep in the apartment. The bathrooms are nice. We were also able to use the washer there and the drying rack - plan ahead so everything dries before packing. The building and apartment felt very secure, and the apartment has plenty of space.
