I had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Ciudad de Ávila. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The hotel is modern, spotless, and very well maintained, with thoughtful touches that make you feel welcome. The room was spacious, quiet, and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities you'd expect—air conditioning, a minibar, a great shower, and reliable Wi-Fi. I especially appreciated the soundproofing, which made for a peaceful night's sleep. Parking was easy and secure, and the location is ideal—close to the historic center of Ávila, yet in a quiet area with easy access to main roads. The breakfast was fresh and convenient, and I also enjoyed a great meal at the on-site restaurant.

Fantastic, atmospheric, beautifully restored and renovated building. Absolutely spectacular! The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and the beds are really comfortable. There is a bar fridge which is convenient and there were 2 complementary bottles of water. The bathrooms are brand new and sparkling clean (as was the room). The location is great, in a charming village in the Duormo valley. Good access to other villages, wineries etc.

The seasonal pool offers view of the Cathedral and the San Esteban Monastery. Guest can visit the city’s 2 cathedrals and the famous Casa de la Concha in a short walk. As well as the numerous charming sights of this ancient Castilian city, you will also find plenty of entertainment in the surrounding streets. Fantastic stay, even better than expected. We loved our stay in Salamanca and definitely want to come back again. A large part of that is due to Hospes Palacio de San Esteban. It is a historic property next to a monastery in the very heart of Salamanca, but due to the monastery it is very quiet. There is an outdoor pool, which was great in the July heat to cool down after we arrived. Staff was really nice and helpful, valet took care of our car and charged it as well for our trip to Madrid the next day. We explored Salamanca by foot from the hotel which is really easy. Breakfast is good as well.

The robes and slippers were so nice. The staff were very welcoming and excellent.

It has been carefully restored to keep its structure and many of its features exactly as they have been for centuries. It offers lovely views of the countryside and features a seasonal outdoor pool, seating areas and a library. A beautiful special place! A real castle in and outside! Very good dinner and wine, very good breakfast. Very friendly!
