The breakfast was very good, and the room was spacious and well-equipped. Overall, the hotel is well-maintained and looks great. I also appreciated the Bock restaurant within the hotel, where I dined twice; the staff was very attentive, and the food was delicious. Upon arrival, which was very late (after 10 PM following a long journey), I assumed I'd have to settle for a sandwich from the gas station across the street. However, the receptionist was exceptionally kind; he called the Bock restaurant and arranged for me to have dinner even at that late hour, when the restaurant was normally closed. I greatly appreciated this gesture! Overall, it was a very positive experience with this hotel.

All rooms at the Hotel Waldersee are individually furnished and feature antique furniture. A bathrobe is available for free. The hotel has a unique style from few years back. I would guess 60ies our 70ies. Since then not much renovation happened (but don't worry, WiFi exists, but also some a bit less modern services, like help with phone calls out of the city). So it's the opposite to the new modern style hotels. You'll either like it or hate it. It's up to you.
