For our February skiing trip, Haus Mauken was less than a 20-minute drive to Kreischberg. For our family (2 adults, 1 child+dog!!), this was an ideal place to get away from the "hustle" of the ski lifts and Murau and experience a true winter wonderland in absolute solitude. Still having a lot of snow at the house (about 1350m in elevation) was a real plus as a warm(er) spell was rapidly melting the remaining snow on the valley floor.
