This is an exceptional lodge in an amazing environment. My wife and I had been on safari many years ago in the Masai Mara and yet Pilanesberg while different was just as rewarding. There were two organised safaris each day and each and every one created memories to cherish. I loved the staff, who were so proud of the game reserve and so committed to making sure it was a wonderful experience, always friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the chef was just great. I loved our spacious lodge and its little plunge pool. Our safari guide Humbu really helped make the experience special. We are so grateful to him, with his incredible enthusiasm and knowledge, for the way he used his wisdom from 22 years of doing this job to orchestrate the best possible sightings for whatever animals we encountered.

We were surprised to find out that our stay also included 2 free game drives and dinners. This was not mentioned on Booking.com, but I suppose it would have been if we had booked direct. Still, a lovely bonus surprise.

Our stay was AMAZING! 3 days of exceptional experience in the middle of Pilanesberg reserve. 4 safaris with 4 different guides, all them really nice and attentive. The rooms are confortable, shower is delicious. The hotel is really KIDS FRIENDLY, with mini golf, tennis, pools, kids parks, chest, etc. Food was surprisingly good! It was my husband's birthday and they were nice to bring him a happy birthday cake. Elephants drank water in front of the restaurant. Amazing stay!

Our stay at Stroomrivier was exceptional. The location is stunning in the middle of a private reserve where we were visited by rhino and buffalo at our doorstep. The staff were also amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they made sure we were well looked after. Huge thank you to Godfrey for being such a champ and going above and beyond.
