Great value for money, spacious room, very clean and new with nice views of SFO. It is about a 40 minute walk from Fisherman's Wharf and Embarcadero so keep that in mind if you prefer to be closer to those areas. I also appreciated having WholeFood around the corner which allowed us to save a little on meals. There are several good restaurants nearby.

I cannot recall ever having stayed at a hotel where the staff - from the reception to the cleaning ladies - were more friendlier than the ones in Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf. Top tier service and just a paragon of excellence. The location is, as all prospective guests will be well aware, close to all attractions and touristy locations around Fisherman's Wharf. The neighborhood is very safe.

The Handlery Union Square Hotel is amazing! It’s right in the heart of Union Square, making it super convenient for shopping, restaurants, and everything San Francisco has to offer. The room was way more comfortable than I expected for an older hotel, and the bed was so cozy. The staff were fantastic—they let us check in early at 10 a.m. and gave us a late check-out at 1 p.m., which I’ve never experienced anywhere else. We stayed for seven days, and everything was great from start to finish. I’ll definitely stay here again!

We arrived early at 11am after checking out of another hotel after the marathon… the girl at the desk couldnt have been nicer and more helpful…& even had the room ready by chance, which was amazing after the run! Fantastic experience! Lovely lobby/room and unlimited water bottles/flavoured water in lobby lovely touch
