This was a fabulous stay and we wouldn't hesitate to return. The property owners live in the basement apartment but are completely unintrusive and extremely friendly. We were grateful for some excellent local tips for great beaches and restaurants. The local area is wonderful; the quiet vibe of Haleiwa almost the complete antithesis of Honolulu/Waikiki which remains eminently accessible by road. Ignore previous reviews about the pool: it's very private, was always spotlessly clean, and was lovely for a refreshing dip after a long day out at the beach or local attractions. There are small air conditioners in every room. They're not super powerful but they're enough to take the edge off for a comfortable night especially in combination with the ceiling fans. House rules and check in instructions were fair and clear, respectively. Highlights for us were the outstanding location, the amazing lanai with ocean views (we saw humpbacks breaching over evening cocktails), and the quiet privacy combined with access to the best that Oahu has to offer.

The location was quiet, within walking distance to Turtle Bay Resort and easy driving distance to the main areas on the North Shore. We stayed for 2 nights, and the property had enough space for our family of 4 adults. The property is older style but was clean with a well equipped kitchen. The beach items were appreciated although we did not use them.

When in Hawaii, we usually look for these nice properties on a golf field, as their lanais face endless green and they usually have beautiful plants very well maintained like you actually live in a botanical garden. This place was no exception. We had such an amazing time here, the house had everything we needed, was super-confortable and very important: gave us privacy in a beautiful setting. From here we also used riding services at Ritz's Stables, we could walk to the beautiful Kawela Bay Beach, that we absolutely love! Amazing breakfasts on the lanai at 6am listening to the waking birds. Feeling the rain in a few evenings and the fresh air. Swimming in the perfect pool nearby. Pure Perfection! It gave us a great starting point for visiting much of Oahu - and we complimented it by the end of our trip with a few days in Honolulu, perfect balance. Highly recommended! Hosts are super nice and helpful too. They also provided beach chairs, surf boards, and more for use during our stay.

This was a fabulous stay and we wouldn't hesitate to return. The property owners live in the basement apartment but are completely unintrusive and extremely friendly. Ignore previous reviews about the pool: it's very private, was always spotlessly clean, and was lovely for a refreshing dip after a long day out at the beach or local attractions. There are small air conditioners in every room. They're not super powerful but they're enough to take the edge off for a comfortable night especially in combination with the ceiling fans. House rules and check in instructions were fair and clear, respectively. Highlights for us were the outstanding location, the amazing lanai with ocean views (we saw humpbacks breaching over evening cocktails), and the quiet privacy combined with access to the best that Oahu has to offer.

When in Hawaii, we usually look for these nice properties on a golf field, as their lanais face endless green and they usually have beautiful plants very well maintained like you actually live in a botanical garden.
