Newly opened in April 2009 after extensive renovations, this 4-star hotel, first opened in 1906, is only 200 metres from Lake Bled and in the immediate vicinity of the train station.

Small train station adjacent to hotel made for a convenient (and Old World) arrival. Breakfast was a choice of gourmet dishes; dinner was an array of local and seasonal dishes. Wine tasting was beyond my expectations. View was an ever-changing panorama of the lake. When it was dry, it was an easy walk to Bled along the lake path, an easy 30 minute walk to the Gorge and about two hours to walk around the entire lake. When it rained, I spent lazy days enjoying the indoor pool, sauna and cozy bar downstairs (best place to read) - all of which had unobstructed views to the lake. Staff were wonderful; facilities and room were immaculate yet homey (this is the only hotel I've stay at with Persian rugs in the elevator). It was like being a pampered guest at a family estate.

Our expectations were exceeded with Hotel Lovec. We had high rooms with lake view and the view from the rooms were simply stunning. Hotel felt very big and open. Largest buffet breakfast we had on our trip and it was really good! Very friendly staff and accommodating with parking when the hotel carpark was full. 10/10 would go here again.

The hotel location is stunning, right by the lake and within easy access of swimming beach, town and all amenities. Excellent front of house staff, very good breakfast and beautiful indoor swimming pool and spa. We were given a lake view with balcony, which was lovely.

The location of the property is excellent, from the swimming pool to the outdoor terrace you had beautiful views of bled castle and the lake. The staff are very friendly and there is a good selection on offer at breakfast. The leisure facilities are great including a pool and jacuzzi then loungers on the outdoor terrace.

We had a balcony and a lake view room which was wonderful. We liked the spa swimming pool and the outdoor swimming and sunbathing area. The standard of the food was high with an excellent selection at breakfast. The location of the hotel is exceptional being on the lakeside.

The lobby and restaurant are very plush and instagramable. We enjoyed having coffee and cocktails in the outdoor area of the restaurant with a view of the lake. We loved the swimming pool and steam room - it was a great place to recharge after walking around the lake and a good place to chill when it was rainy! The location was excellent and there was always a car parking spot.

I really recommend this hotel for everybody. The castle is close, and you can reach the lake if you just step out from the hotel. The reception staff was very kind and show us how to reach the sights, we could check in earlier than it was possible. The breakfast is reach. The swimming pool is nice and it has an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy the view to the lake from.

The location was great, beautiful view overlooking Lake Bled. The sauna and steam rooms with the view was outstanding and the swimming pool and the outdoor sun terrace was fabulous
