Beautiful property in a brilliant location close to Ponte DeLima and great for trips to Braga, Barcelos, Guimaraes and Viana Da Castelo. The pool was fantastic and the entire property was spotlessly clean. There are a couple of cafés within a few minutes along with a lovely market shop. Communication with Eduardo was excellent and the property is great value for money. We spent a great 10 days there as a family of 4. Highly recommended.

As a foreigner, Portugal makes it very hard for you to charge an EV car. A combination of idiotic laws (soon to be repelled but the damage is done) and awful internet connectivity at various stations, as well as a plethora of useless Chademo chargers are completely destroying the experience in a country that was supposed to be a pioneer of auto electrification. Imagine the relief when we arrived at Quinta da Boavista and had quick access to a Tesla charger.

Before choosing hotels for our travels, I always read a large number of reviews. Villa D'Aurora Country Suites immediately stood out as a truly unique place in Northern Portugal, consistently receiving only excellent ratings. One might wonder: how is it possible to receive only excellent reviews? After experiencing this extraordinary place firsthand, I quickly understood—the magic lies in the care and warmth of the two incredible people who run it. From the moment we drove through the gate and were welcomed by these warm and hospitable hosts, I knew we were about to experience something truly unique during this holiday. Villa D'Aurora is located in a residential area, yet it is surrounded by a beautiful and secluded garden, giving you the feeling of being completely isolated from the outside world—as if in a private oasis. The atmosphere is instantly energizing from the moment you step through the gate. We stayed in the "Candida" room, a beautifully decorated space where every single detail has been thoughtfully considered (see my attached photos). The owners have an exceptional eye for details. The room was spacious, featuring a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was tastefully designed with a generous shower area. The air conditioning worked perfectly and ensured a pleasant stay throughout. Outside in the lush garden, there is a lovely and well-maintained swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers—again, every detail is taken care of! With only four rooms at Villa D'Aurora, there’s no need to compete for a spot by the pool. Breakfast was served in the charming garden, featuring a wide selection beautifully presented at our table. This was one of the most romantic breakfasts we have ever had. We also enjoyed dinner here— simple; yet elegantly presented and fully satisfying our expectations. It is with a heavy heart that we now must leave this hidden gem in Northern Portugal. This has truly been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We stayed at Casa da Paz. Despite all the rain, the conservatory is very pleasant and everything was clean, tidy and confortable. The covered and warm swimming pool was a definite highlight during the rainy days.
