What an amazing place. Everything about our stay was above all expectations. The room and that Bathroom were spotless. The breakfast was great with so much choice. I really can't put into words how good the food was in the restaurant. Our entire stay felt like we had come home. You can tell the owners put everything into the place they really made us so feel welcome. We parked our motorcycles at the rear of the property behind a locked gate making our stay even more relaxed.

We had an excellent stay at Casa do Poço! The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We originally planned to stay just one night, but the wonderful facilities and warm hospitality convinced us to stay an extra night — and we’re so glad we did! The house is a beautiful, traditional Portuguese stone building with a spacious room and fantastic amenities — including a fully equipped kitchen, games room, pool table, board games, and a cosy TV room. Our kids had a great time in the newly built swimming pool in the modern annex, and we all enjoyed playing table tennis together. One of the highlights was the host’s personal touch — she suggested traditional Portuguese dinner ideas and even helped us collect the food herself from a local restaurant. The breakfast, with homemade cakes, was another lovely treat. We also enjoyed exploring the charming town of Miranda do Douro, especially the relaxing river cruise, which offered beautiful views and a unique way to experience the area. A perfect combination of comfort, hospitality, and authentic local experiences — highly recommended!

Just wonderful, been here almost for a week had to work in the area and this place met my needs more than I expected. The food is very good, restraunt level. Breakfast had exactly what I needed, fresh and healthy food in the morning to start off the day. And in the evening you can order from the menu. The place is very clean and cozy. And the owner is very welcoming and helpful no matter what you might need help with. Would stay here again. Probably one of top 10 best places I stayed in Portugal.
