We loved the atmosphere so much, it is a 17th century building turned into a hotel. We had an unexpectedly amazing dinner, kids' menu being a bonus, so we ate there again. All the staff was extremely helpful and nice.

Location: out of the walls of Elvas, but close to the historic center, about 15 min walk to the castle thru the St. Vincente gate (Google Maps do not see this gate and lead you around much longer way – do not rely on Google unless you want to see half of the walls from outside). Very good place if travel by car – close to the historic center and no problem with a parking, We recommend the Taberna do Largo restaurant, about 4 min walk. We ate there twice, good Portuguese food at good prices (menu only in Portuguese). Hotel: There are three houses/apartments in a row, centrally located at the farm. The owner lives in a separate building near the gate. Our home consists of 3 bedrooms, living room, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. All bedrooms equipped with electric heaters and the home was warm when we arrived (it was cold outside). Room: large, enough place for luggage; electric sockets: if you count there are many, however scattered over all home, not very convenient to charge simultaneously your phone, camera and computer; lighting: good. Bed: large and comfortable. Bathroom: large, enough place for your toiletries, warm (electric heater), large shower cabin. Breakfast: do it yourself. The kitchen is well equipped and the host offers fresh oranges as a bonus. WiFi: very good. Staff: very good contact. We arrived later than planned and there was no problem with check-n after hours. Parking: free, inside the farm.
