Never have had a more luxurious stay and experience in the hotel. The infinity pools with a view straight on Douro River and valley are just breathtaking. The staff is super helpful and authentically friendly. Super looking forward to my next stay in one of the Octant hotels! There will definitely be a next time!

We always end our trips by asking each other "which place we stayed at you liked the best?" and this was that place. This is the place to stay if you want peace, quiet and beautiful views. Yes, you need a car to get there, and, yes, you also need a car to go out to dinner, but that wasn't a problem to us, quite the opposite, we were looking for that. Room was clean and as in photos, the view from our window was stunning. Breakfast was served fresh every morning and had some nice and personal touches like homemade jam. Last but no least, the hosts were so welcoming and polite, gave dinner recommendations and were open to give you any recommendation and help you need. On the morning of our check out there was no rush and we were welcome to check out when we wanted, and since after check out we went to the Paiva Walkways (p.s. very close to this property as also is Arouca 516), the host suggested that if necessary, we can come back after the walk and use the shower. We are glad we found this place, and hope to be back!

The accommodation exceeded all our expectations in the mountainous hilly countryside of the Duoro river valley with a magnificent panorama. The guest houses are located in a vineyard outside the city, they serve all comforts, it is quite a unique experience to stay here in infinite silence and peace. Communication and access were smooth. I wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation.

Wonderful hosts, sound, stayed up late to check us on. Great chat, very smiley. Room was great, comfy bed, lots of storage space, great shower etc. Coffee pods included for the machine, kitchen had everything you could need! Wish we could have stayed longer to make use of the facilities more. Pool looked lovely but didn’t get a chance to try it. Just lovely lovely welcoming people

The settings and the architecture are spectacular. We loved the food (both restaurants), attentive staff, the swimming pools and sauna.

Stunning location, from the moment you arrive you can feel yourself unwinding. Very warm welcome from friendly, energetic staff. Wonderful Riberia suite with lovely view of the trees and river, 2 very pretty outdoor pools with fantastic views over the Douro river. Nice indoor spa facilities including good shower circuit and steam room.

The place is simply stunning, the rooms are spread onto a vine plants field and the swimming pool offers great view on the surrounding nature, the design of the accomodation is stunning. The breakfast was abundant, fresh and served both indoor or on the terrace. Nuno was extremely helpful and kind, booking the restaurant for us and explaining where the best beaches were. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in the nature of the Douro Valley!
