-the house is soooo beautiful and comfortable -the room with a nice bathroom is perfect. Quiet, clean, cosy. -the kitchen is well equipped. The host offered tea coffee and water for free. -the host is super friedly and helpful. He gave me details info how to arrive and walk with me to airport. -it's only 10 min walk distance to airport entrance! -i've been in Peru for 4 months and never seen such amazing privat accommodation! -love it!

A lovely convenient little hotel outside the airport with a nearby shopping centre so no need to go into town for transit visits into the jungle. I was blown away by Wilson’s kindness and help - as a tour operator himself he knows all the important things to tell those of us who are off into the wilds or around Peru and is very generous with his time and advice. He and his wife are invaluably helpful. 10 out of 10.

It was a unique experience! I had never been to the jungle before, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. Listening to the different sounds of the jungle and feeling the energy of nature at PuraChata was truly special. Our host Guillermo was helpful from the get-go. He made sure we understood the fair rate for transportation, made calls for booking a boat to Leticia. Asked a carpenter to stop working - it was loud- when we arrived back to our room. We didn't make this request, he just did it. He allowed us to check out late with a very very small fee. Instructed the moto-taxi driver to help us with our bags at the port. So kind and joyful, always smiling.

I’ve stayed one week in the wonderful Guacamayo Azul integrating my journeys in the jungle, and seriously, I have no words how amazing this place is! The house is luxurious, huge comfortable main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen where I felt I could cook as if I was back home. The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!

2nd time i have stayed here the room is a good size with a decent shower in a compact shower room, the bed was a bit to hard for my liking , the lighting was good , there was hanging space and a small counter top . The roof top pool area was a good space to relax ,. Breakfast was a bit limited but ok .The hotel was within walking distance of all aminities , plenty of shops and restaurants.I will stay again one day.

2nd time i have stayed here the room is a good size with a decent shower in a compact shower room, the bed was a bit to hard for my liking , the lighting was good , there was hanging space and a small counter top . Our stay was very pleasant, the hotel is conveniently located 5-6 min away from the main square and 2 min from the nearest supermarket. The rooms have AC which is a must in Iquitos. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and the bar on top are very welcome if you just one to chill a little bit after visiting the whole day.

I only stayed one night after spending a week down the Amazon River before catching a flight the next day. The hotel is clean and spacious not far from the Plaza either by walking or a Tuk Tuk. The swimming pools was great to cool down in but the warm shower was also great.

We loved our stay. The room was very cozy with AC. The common area was nice to chill at the swimming pool (it gets super hot in Iquitos). We could also buy beer in the hotel. Breakfast was good

Friendly and helpful staff, A/C in room that actually worked well, hot shower and good WiFi. Has a small swimming pool if you get too hot. I checked in a bit early without any issues.

I liked that you have the opportunity to live in a real colonial house in the center of Iquitos. Lots of history transpire and the swimming pool is super nice.

The staff was really helpful. I asked for an other room as the bar upstairs was really noisy, the change was done within 5min! Rooftop swimming pool is amazing

The architecture of hotel itself was beautiful - classic 1905 rubber baron chic! Location was also very good - short walks to plaza de armas and lots of good restaurants, nice view of the river, swimming pool was a nice treat.
