Beautiful and comfy rooms, welcoming and friendly staff and delicious dinner and breakfast (by the way, we were the only guests for the night, but still everything was top notch!). The surrounding is stunning and so are the animals you can find here. Don't miss this place!!!

IcelandI really loved the hotel, I mean, for a history nerd it's a wonder. Hotel is nestled amidst historical buildings. We arrived very late in Maltahoehe after hours and host was still able to accommodate us and genuinely showed excellent service.
I really recommend anyone to visit the hotel, especially for the fact that it seems to play such an important cultural and historical role in the village. They feature a cool little museum inside and they have animals on hotel grounds - chickens and dogs and what not. Excellent place if you're an animal lover.
Breakfast was real lekker and I liked the bar, shame only that we didn't get a chance to order drinks and spend time at the bar, no idea at what hour it closes. Idk if they take donations but woudl've happily donated the flag we were carrying on our tour of Namibia :)

Meals were good, service was excelent! Nice pool and animals to look at directly at the premises. You could sit on the veranda watching the rhinos. There is also a small lake - a good place to relax!

Very good food the whole day! Breakfast, Lunch and Diner were very good and a lot to eat. Very nice staff and owners! Animals come to the waterwhole in front of the Pool during the whole day.

Beautiful and peaceful location in the desert 7 km down a track from the road.
Superb view over the sands and the rock outcrops.
Only 6 spacious rooms and a large lounge and dining room.
Small but clean and refreshing pool.
Good meals, made and served by friendly staff.
Interesting trip into the desert to see the game and enjoy a sundowner.
Close views of game at the water hole.

We loved the place, the environnement, the room located by the pond, its confort, the tea, coffee, the fridge which is a necessity, the beer offered. the pool,

The suites are facing to small man made lake, nice green grass all around with small pool. Nice restaurant facing to the animals. The animal feed time are amazing, as well as staff attitude are sincerely makes us feel comfortable. Must see safaris as well.

There was a ton of open outdoor space and grass for kids to run around, plus plenty of shade and places to lounge. Food was excellent, rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Very nice little pool plus a 2-person sauna (big bonus for chilly nights and mornings). It's owned by a family who have lived there for a long time, so it felt very well taken care of, with lots of thoughtful little additions. And lots of fresh vegetables from the garden right there!

#1 Accommodation in Namibia (judged after our 30-day North-to-South, West-to-East (end-to-end) family trip with 2 kids. Exceptional hospitality, location, view, villa with private pool, etc. A must stay in Namibia for all serious travelers!!!

The hosts Tjaard and Karin are very kind and pleased to serve.
We stayed at the Mountain View Villa with all the comfort needed (like Braii/Fireplace, pool) plus a view upon a waterhole were we could observe giraffes, gnus and oryx and a beautiful sky full of stars. They served us a private, very delicious breakfast and dinner in the villa.
Beside the villa there are chalets with self or full service and camp sites.

A pleasant place to overnight, with lots of interesting historical stuff from the colonial period. We were lucky enough to arrive while the nearby (40km away) lily pan at Sandhof farm was in bloom, so we got a chance to see this world-famous sight the next morning. Staff were friendly and helpful, the small pool was very welcome after a long dusty day on the road, and the beer was very cold!
